Photosynthesis……how could such a complex system so vital to life on earth, just happen by accident?

Photosynthesis
FYI: Professor Michael Behe has documented a number of tiny biological systems that are not just complex, but they have no function if just one element is missing. One of my own examples: purple photosynthetic bacteria. A tiny solar-powered valve ejects hydrogen ions from the cell, creating a pH imbalance. A second tiny molecular turbine lets them flood back in, and as it spins, creates the energetic molecule ADP. (You might not agree, but I believe in God-centered evolution.)

Also: mammals nurse their young on milk that contains the complex sugar lactose. They can only digest it with the enzyme lactase. (People without lactase are lactose-intolerant.) Lactase without lactose would be deadly to young mammals, but lactase has no other function but to digest lactase. What are the odds both appeared as mutations at the same time?

The more you know, the more there is to appreciate in creation…..the mechanisms are truly marvels of engineering even on a microscopic scale. We had to wait thousands of years to invent the means to explore the microscopic world, but when we did, how much there was, hiding in plain sight?

A short video series that shows us in beautiful detail, how creation demonstrates God’s personality….

“WAS IT DESIGNED”?

Jehovah wants us to be happy.
That was really good - and not too long.

I did not know that beaver dams could be seen from space. Amazing. I loved the dog smiling as the narrator said he is a happy God.

With all the debate and rancor over every little thing, this vid was so refreshing. Hopefully, naysayers won't come along and say we should not love the world and be in the flesh and all that.

This is @Aunty Jane great topic. Thankyou!

Many times I have lost hope, and in the throws of despair...and cannot appreciate anything, thats when someone mentions looking to nature and His Creation.... I can suddenly regain a sense of wonder and connection!....It's like He has embedded a "Just look at What I can DO" meme into my short circuited mind in order to remind me of His Power, Beauty and with ease. He can do all of this, uphold a universe, LOL...isn't He able to do much much more than we can imagine????

He can create form from nothing... and before long, I then find myself transfixed on Him again..and feel relief.

I cannot help but be drawn away from my sufferings in this way...

It’s wonderful that you feel reconnected through his creation.….sometimes life’s dramas can make us blind to what is all around us….evidence of God’s love.
So, sometimes we have to stop and smell the roses…..and know that God is bigger than any of our problems…..
Nature is healing because it is made of love. :dusted:

When John wrote we should not ‘love the world’…(1 John 2:15-17) he was talking about the way mankind conducts himself in the world, with the pathetic forms of self rule that he has tried over thousands of years….all ending in failure because of flawed human nature, devoid of possessing the wisdom to rule himself, without the power corrupting him.

How many different forms of self rule have humans tried? Democracy looked good on paper, just like Communism did, but in reality it was as flawed as the humans who tried to implemented it. Democracy too will join the list of failed human government….what is next? Something nobody wants.

Man was designed to be ruled by God because free will was meant to be a blessing…..but under self determination it became a curse, as men wanted to impose their will on others. This is the flaw in human nature that most do not want to acknowledge. Man was not designed to rule himself…..he was designed to be ruled by the one who made him. As soon as you give humans power over other humans, it corrupts them…..almost without exception.

I didn’t intend to hijack your thread but I will ask, do you love your family members?
I know where this is going….so let me ask you about the martyrs in Bible times who were torn apart by wild animals as entertainment for the Romans….they and their children suffered the same fate….did they love their family members?
All they had to do was put a pinch on incense on the alter, as an act of worship to the Emperor, and they could have walked free….why didn’t they?

Right since i was a child I have always reacted to God's beauty in nature with tears. I can find beauty in the most unlikely places; evan a dandelion is beautiful if it's not in one's flower beds.:housegarden:
