And FEW there be who find it.

Says Jesus!

How many were saved from the Flood? Only 8 on Earth.

How many were saved in Sodom? Only 3.

FEW!

Luke 13:23-24
23 Then one said to Him, "Lord, are there few who are saved?" And He said to them,
24 "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

Luke 18

1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, 2 saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor [a]regard man. 3 Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, [b]‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ 4 And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, 5 yet because this widow troubles me I will [c]avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’ ”

6 Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. 7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? 8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily.

Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

An interesting way to look at this is when Christ returns, all the dead in Christ are raised and all the believers are gathered to Him by His angels (raptured) to be with Him off the earth in the air.

So, then WHO is left on the earth?
At the time of His appearing, we have the great tribulation, the beast followers, one world government of Satan.
All those people did not want Christ to reign over them, so they will all be slain when He judges the world in righteousness.

The Parable of the Minas

11 Now as they heard these things, He spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately.

12 Therefore He said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return.

13 So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten [e]minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.’

14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We will not have this man to reign over us.’

15 “And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16 Then came the first, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned ten minas.’ 17 And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’ 18 And the second came, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned five minas.’ 19 Likewise he said to him, ‘You also be over five cities.’

20 “Then another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I have kept put away in a handkerchief. 21 For I feared you, because you are [f]an austere man. You collect what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow.’ 22 And he said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow. 23 Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?’

24 “And he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas.’ 25 (But they said to him, ‘Master, he has ten minas.’) 26 ‘For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.

27 But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.’ ”

Sorry Scott Downey, but you have not understood this Parable of the Minas at all. This parable is not about Christ but about Satan being imprisoned in the Bottomless Pit for 1,000 years. Before Satan goes away, he will give his ten servants ten minas to trade with. When Satan will return, after being released from the Bottomless Pit, he will demanded his money be returned to him, which he admitted to his "wicked" servant, that he had no right to because as he said in the parable, "You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow." Satan was looking for the harvest of "righteous souls" which he had no right to.

In this parable Jesus foretells when Israel will repent and send a delegation following Satan to God, to tell God, that they collectively no longer want Satan to reign over them. This will happen in our near future in around 20 years' time from now.

In this parable, Jesus also foretells, that when Satan returns to the face of the earth, after being released from the Bottomless Pit after being imprisoned for one thousand years, that he will go after his "rebelling" servants, the Israelites, who no longer wanted Satan to rule over them, and demand that they be brought before him to be slain before him on his "return." This is confirmed in Rev 12.

Jesus, on His way up from Jericho to Jerusalem, before he is crucified, tells His audience of fellow Jews, that they need to repent of their turning away from God, which is the narrow way.

We Christians today are also required to repent before God our primary sin of turning away from God when we do so. When we repent of turning away from God and His Grace, we gain eternal life and no longer remain a candidate for the second death at the time of the final judgement. Our trouble is that the fine line of turning away from God is very easy to step over without realising that we have. It is a narrow pathway for us to walk along, and sadly many so called "Christians" fail every day as we turn away from God to do as we want and not as God would have us do. Yes, we have a very narrow pathway to walk along.
