The truth is the west promised to not put nukes in nations that border Russia and they promised not to allow nations that border Russia to become NATO member... back when the Soviet Union broke up. That's fact and is a matter of public record.

Every US President since then has been trying to do exactly what the US and NATO promised they would not do which is the cause of the conflict we are seeing now with Ukraine.

The US did the exact same thing when the Soviets placed nuke in Cuba... we were ready to start WW3 over the issue and were getting geared up to do exactly that if those nukes where not removed when the Soviets finally removed them.
