well, so you say...but imo dogs particularly, "man's best friend," speak a language that um we have a channel for, and i guess cats, too, quite similar to the sheep/goats thing imo. I mean i prolly dont even have to label which is which right

Oh yes, for sure agree about dog...they do indeed answer back in a low rumbling at the back of their throats. If ever I tell ours the stop barking..she will still get the last word by a low throat rumble.
She's dumb, but I checked our last Shepherd and he had a vocabulary of 75 words ( understanding).
I know some smart dog can understand up to 150 and he was good.
He could bring me the right toy that I asked for every time. Also know loads of words. not just the sit stand come words , but many many others.
I still miss him., this one is not the same by far ...sweet, but stupid!!

I think we can go too far in that direction.
Coming from New Zealand, where there are literally no snakes, (an absolute truth) and coming to Australia where there are more varieties of dangerous snakes than the rest of the world combined, I was amazed...astounded...horrified even...that they are a protected species!!!! Find a writhing terrifying venomous critter in your bathroom here and you do not fetch the shotgun...spade...sledge hammer...no, you ring a local wildlife expert to relocate the darling lovable affectionate minding its own business serpent.

Oh wow...never knew that...but I did know that you have many many snakes there...we didn't used to have any here decades ago when I arrived... but there are rattlers here now. ( in the arid places)

We didn't used to have ticks either...now we do...lots ..
I think we need to BUILD A WALL to stop stuff coming up here

The locals don't ring the wildlife people on every occasion, perhaps just the kiwis ans the ladies...The locals do the relocating themselves...they relocate the head to one part of their property and the rest to another.

i took it to be his beard tied in knots, which has meaning, and i looked for a better example, of which many exist but i didnt have a camera at that moment or whatever, hands full of loot, but i ran out of time and had to settle for that one. The mouth made of Xs and the knotted beard pretty well say it i guess. Most of the graffiti there runs in this vein. The younger gen has def turned away from the older, many Jewish youth getting arrested protesting the apartheid there, etc

Ahahaha! Those are my 3 schnauzers alright...I must open and close that back door a million times every day But, years ago, I made the decision to not get aggravated with the constancy of it and just chalk it up to exercise...and, so far...it works for me and the fur-fannies! ❤❤❤

love schnauzers, we had a couple. Ha well if you socialize them early anyway, otherwise they are like insane too lol. As well as stupid smart, we had one that could play jokes on us lol
he literally observed my sis and i doing some goofy move thing back and forth and got in on the game

Lol..yes indeed, they do reconnaissance and follow suit, smart is right! They are well socialized, they love people and kids and other dogs. Although, my youngest has a bit of food, toy, affection aggression, lol...she spent the first 9 month of her little life in a Dallas shelter with all size dogs so, the only thing that scares her a bit are large dogs. They do not miss a thing!

Our poor thing is useless...she never plays and doesn't know how to.
She never communicates and doesn't know how to.
She spent the first three years of her life alone in a cage, in a barn.
'With' other dogs but never with them. ..she had three litters of pups before she was adopted out at age 4. She is now age 10.

She has a very sweet and gentle nature, but sadly the personality of a glass of water. Sad.

I so did my homework before getting my oldest...we must claim alpha immediately, or, they will own you, for reals!. Jazz, my youngest, and "dirty rotten little brat"-(that seems to be her nickname anymore ) In hindsight, she should have been a one dog family. But, it works in it's way with all three, thank God because I would be even crazier! lol. I love them, and they are cheap security alarms. And, quite entertaining!
