........ Every vaccine has possible side effects, what is the difference? The point is the serious side effects of the covid vaccines are very very very very rare.

40,000 people with blood clots and u call that rare... Um ok... So we just have to hope it's not us then...
And your still ignoring deaths as well...
After making such a big deal about 85 year olds dying... Tssss... You not fussed about these deaths...

I guess if your not fussed about 1,500 lockdwn suicides in Oz why would u care about anyone else dying... It's all political to you unless your effected.

@Addy

Maybe I am here too much...
I'm preparing for the decision that appears to be coming... Get vaxed or be cast out of society...

Maybe I will live on fish and small kangaroo... Protein is easy to obtain in our bush... Carbohydrates and sugars are not easy to find so I'll need a grocer that will trade with me, if I have money.

Might even get a horse to get to places without fuel or cops...
Iv given it a lot of thought and I'm prepared to do it if I must... Like a real monk...

I refuse to be forced, threated, coerced, blackmailed, compelled or mandated to make such a choice...

Anyway bed time for me
God bless

That was VERY UNCOOL of me... and showed lack of respect.... I was going to erase the word in an edit... but... let it stand
to show the world that ADDY is sometimes WAY to quick to speak...

So how is it political?

Yes lockdowns do have an effect on people's mental health, there is no denying that, but there are other factors in play of the suicide count.

I would have to find some statistics, but I would say a lot of suicides are a result being bullied and rejected, it's that type of stuff I believe that has the worst impact on people's lives.

Maybe this topic needs another thread, I don't know, because it's a big problem.

No worries...thread started with a very focused subject and it is still there. Then when others were getting a bit bored etc, it extended its broad shoulders and long arms to accommodate other paths of departure, with occasional stopping points along the way for rest, simpler chat and refreshment....;)

There are people like such all over the big city's, my sister married one, he or they are a nice enough blokes, boy my mum complained about him and he said to my dad if he could support his child  because he only wanted to sit about smoking dope in front of the TV, my dad said No ! but my sister had to work to keep him :( my brothers all claim in words that one could not mention on the form about such blokes.

Well mummy was thinking of buying the S boy a House but no.
Two boys up the road 58 and 60yo their mummy thought to by one a new house, so that when she died they will not squabble one has never worked in his life and claims if you don't want to that he is within his constitutional rights:rolleyes:.
The other has $2 million in the bank but he could never bring himself to fork out as he has short arms and long pockets not to mention claims Children cost you money and his brother has a kid but never had anything to do with him.
Now that's only for starters in my street . as their is another other one 63yo living with daddy all his life I will not bother with him and another not worthy talking about and their is 28 houses in the street.
Not to mention that I believe that I am the biggest idiot, I feel that am the biggest fool of them all, because I worked my guts out and been shafted for years treated shockingly, I have seen so many people who have had nerviest brake downs over nothing with things that were a regular accordance to me and way beyond. and such idiots get pay outs and like a million dollars for just nonsense, just playing the game.
When I look back at what my dad went through in business, I could right a book. why he did not kill  some of them ! my elder brother says that if it was him he would of been up for murder for sure, it's so funny to see him go off he rocker about it all, he is not nice and understanding like me of others, he hates them people up the road and my younger brother he has Zero tolerance for them. if their is a knock at the door he is like, don't bring them in here or he will toss them over the railing if a spark from them sets him off.
You entire neighborhood seems like a rich folks geriatric home. It could be test bed, a future model neighborhood with permanent visitations by Geriatricians to maintain the 'home's' poisons intake and regular jabs...well? can be...

The whole COVID Scamdemic was about being bullied and rejected. And you still have your head in the sand (like all Liberals). There is absolutely no question that the lockdowns and everything else related to this scam saw a SHARP SPIKE in the suicide rates among young people. And there was absolutely no reason for this to happen. So there is blood on the hands of all governments and public health officials.

Our airline is forcing people to get it and the media/government are talking about "no jab no job"
This is happening where I work in the care home , people who have not had the vaccine in 16weeks will lose their jobs….. in the USA Nurses have lost their jobs as it was made mandatory in March, they were given 16weeks. Some of my work colleagues just don’t know what to do……some have given in, some will wait to be fired…..it hasn’t been made law over here yet, but it’s going through parliament at the moment…..

I have written to local MP’s, but the care home seems to be ‘ acting as if it is law ‘ ….I have had the vaccine, but so angry that they are putting people in this position. If they expect us to sign anything official to cover future vaccines I just don’t know if I can or will sign it……..

Actually I am a bit surprised, here is what I found from a professional reliable trusted news source.

Covid-19: Suicide rate 'did not rise during first lockdown'

The number of suicides in England did not rise following the first national lockdown in 2020, research has found.

Charities had reported more people seeking mental health support, leading to fears the number of suicides would also increase.

But University of Manchester scientists found a broadly similar rate from April to October 2020 to that seen between January and March.

The findings are in line with research from other high income countries.

Using real-time surveillance data, which records suicides as they occur but before an inquest is held, academics studied suicides in areas of England covering some 13 million people - around a quarter of the population.

They found that the suicide rate between January and March 2020 was 125.7 per month compared to 121.3 per month between April and October.

Lockdown had 'major impact' on mental health
Covid and suicide: Japan's 'disappearing' women
Comparing 2020 to 2019, the data showed a total of 633 suicides between April and October 2019, compared to 637 during the same months in 2020.

"We know from surveys and calls to charities that the pandemic has made our mental health worse," said Prof Louis Appleby, director of the University of Manchester's National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Safety in Mental Health.

"To be clear, no suicide rate - whether high or low, rising or falling - is acceptable, and our conclusions at this stage need to be cautious as these early findings may change.

"There may still be variations between demographic groups or geographical areas. After all, the impact of Covid-19 itself has not been uniform across communities."

The BBC Action Line has details of organisations offering information and support if you, or someone you know, has been affected by mental health issues.

Presentational grey line
The team say it will be important to monitor the impact of longer-term consequences of the pandemic such as the economic impact.

Prof Nav Kapur, who also worked on the study, said there was not necessarily a straight line between people reporting feeling greater distress and ending their own lives.

Writing in the Lancet Regional Health Europe journal, the academics say it is important to continue to monitor the figures.

"Suicide is complex. There may be a genuine social cohesion effect at the time of external crises - we've seen this in data from suicide rates around the time of the two world wars, suicide rates decreased and there is this idea that societies pull together when there's an external threat."

Separate research published last week in the Lancet Psychiatry looking at suicide rates from 21 mainly high income countries, such as Australia, Canada, Germany, New Zealand and the US, found no evidence of a significant increase in the risk of suicide since the pandemic began.

Researchers on that study speculated that the financial support that governments had implemented to deal with Covid-19, including investing in mental health services, may have had a protective effect.

Yes that is a difficult decision to make indeed. Are you going to try other similar work that might not hold you hostage until you comply with their demands? I reckon all medical workers of any type will go under this new proposed legislation or policy? I can see them making you sign your life away for unlimited booster shots or seasonal ones

Hi Josho,
I know this year has pushed my own mental well-being, and I have worked all through it …….Also our mental health network is really stretched to the limit , it was before the pandemic. I am pretty sure that it has pushed many to take their own lives. One aspect of the figures, interestingly many of my friends that had mental health issues before covid actually found the lockdowns helped because they could hide away and had excuses not to be social……….so the figures may not have changed much, but the group of people taking their own lives may have varied…….

It’s a bit complicated because I am three years off retirement and I have hip and knee problems that have occurred during my employment at the care home. Finding other employment at the age of 63 that does not involve ‘ care ‘ is quite difficult …………

I forgot about your age. We are only a few years apart. Sorry for being a little thoughtless here. I guess you have to hope you can retire without signing on to anything long-term then./// Your Dad is getting up there in years then...I hope he's healthy....I bet he used to do/play the Pools in his earlier years. My Dad never won anything big...
