Critical thinking and commonsense have left the planet.
Perilous indeed.
There is something still restraining all out anarchy and mindlessness.
I believe it is God's grace... The Holy Spirit.
When these are removed the whole earth will plunge into utter darkness.
Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Parables...
I draw Sun and Moon and Stars from Jacob/Israel. When Joseph tells them of his dream.
The Sun and Moon are the parents. And the stars are the children.
Disobedience. They no longer give their light.
The powers of heaven, the religious authority of the Temple/church are shaken.
This happened for 3.5 years of Jesus's ministry. He shook up the religious authority and they seeked to kill him.
Don't question our authority!!
When Jesus rose from the dead.. they were cut to the heart.
And the disciples were sent throughout the world to spread the gospel gathering the elect from one end of heaven to the other.
Not only was Jesus shaking the heavens so was John the baptist.
They were like the two witnesses in the book of revelation.
Revelation is a book about what was: old world/ what is: the days of Jesus/ and what will be: the end of the age.
There is no new thing under the sun.. Father.
If we want to know what the future shows, one just needs to read about the past. History repeats itself.
That's the way God made it. Times and seasons.
This age is like a tree. In the book of acts it is like a green tree, new and pliable.
As we reach the end of the age this tree has become fruitless and thorny.
The withered tree...
It needs to be cut down so that new growth can appear. A new heaven and a new earth. A new beginning.
The axe..
Mat 21:19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
Mat 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Job 14:7 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
This tree which we now live under is here:
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,” (
2 Timothy 3:1-3)
And it needs to be cut down, so new growth can sprout again.
And we have this hope:
Pro 13:12 Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but
when the desire cometh,
it is a tree of life.
Rev 22:14 Blessed
are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
So things may be a bit shaky while this tree is being cut down.. it must be so.
But we have hope and we have faith that there will always be a new day.
That is why there is no fear with God.
Those that trust in him have no fear.
It's simply a transition from this life to the next.
Death is the door we must go through to enter into life.
Jesus says He is the door. And no man cometh to the Father but through him.
He has the keys to death and hell.
And many shall seek death and not find it.
This isn't a scary thing. People make it scary. They fear the unknown.
But we are not ignorant of what comes after this life. Because we have God's promise that he will not leave our souls in hell.
I don't think there will be any rememberance of this life after we have moved on.
Behold all things have become new.
Like a newborn babe.
A new sprout forming a new tree.
We will be the trees in the garden with fruit for everyone.
And the fruit we share knows no fear.
The first thing Adam and Eve did when they ate the wrong fruit was to run and hide.. away from God.
They hid themselves among the trees..
They became thorns.
Tares among the wheat.
They became:

And here we are again.
I see this in my minds eye and it gives me comfort.
I have no fear what the world can do to me.
My Love for the Lord is stronger than the fear of losing this life.
I know there is a better one waiting.
