I used to think I was more spiritual than my husband. After all, I don't often catch him praying or reading the Scriptures in front of me.

But when he goes out of his way to be kind, he does it in this quiet unassuming way. He doesn't make a big deal out of it or even let on that he is thinking of the action.

Although he works very hard and is often tired, he never complains about working. When people put him on the spot for money, he simply prays about it and gives without resentment or making that person feel like they owe anything.

He forgives a lot and easier than me. Things that Id have a bad attitude about, he lets roll off his back.

I have much to learn about truly loving others. In 1 Corinthians 13, it talls about charity or love seeking not its own. I used to wonder exactly what it meant. But I think it means when you do something good, you don't seek self-gratification for it by holding people over a barrel or doing it begrudgingly or letting everyone know how put out you are by doing it.

Several weeks ago I was sitting and eating breakfast at a restaurant, and i watched an old couple come in, the gentlemen was probably in his late 80's if not 90+ and he pushed his wife in on a wheel chair. Here I saw the picture of Love not seeking its own. I saw here the Love that we all need to find in our time on this earth, the kind that lasts to the end, and is sacrificial and wanting to take that love on a date no matter how difficult it may be. I teared up when I saw it, and then proceeded to pay for their meal without them knowing. That gentlemen showed me so much by his devoted love, that I had to pass on to them what he gave to me by his action.

Having been with my husband for over fifty years I know that love that lasts and stands the test of time is the best sort. A few months ago we were on holiday with my daughter and son in law and we went out for a meal to a pub. My husband can hardly walk and uses a mobility scooter but in the pub when he needed the loo he leant on me as we walked in arm to take him. As we walked I could see a young couple watching us so I said to them, 'This is what love looks like after fifty years.

I think living on my own it's easy to become selfish. I have been encouraged to sort of tend after my family and their needs. When I was part of a church I got to serve and proclaim the gospel to people. I often felt the spirit. But now days just tending to my family I feel the spirit too. I get some peace and love and joy.

So there is charity towards strangers and such. But there is also caring for our family and friends.

I find that God encourages me with the Holy Spirit in love, which often is caring for others. God guides us like a good Father.

It means putting God first in such a way that you help Him in your dealings with others. Such is a servant's heart.

Nor does love SEEK ITS OWN WAY and its own religoin TO GOD .
LOVE WOULD POINT TO JESUS CHRIST AS THE ABSOLUTE AND ONLY MEANS TO BE SAVED .
SO tell me , HOW come todays love is saying other religoins have thier own way to GOD .
Cause that aint love , ITS A LIE from hell .
The god of the muslims cannot save them , the god of the buddists cannot save them
the mind of the athiest cannot save him , ONLY JESUS CAN . YE MUST BELEIVE IN HIM TO BE SAVED .
YEAH , love seeks NOT ITS OWN WAY TO GOD , NOR DOES IT ALLOW other religoins and mindsets a pass and say they saved too .
NOR does love rejoice in inquity but ONLY IN THE TRUTH . Love corrects , love puts others before itself .
And no matter the cost , LOVE is gonna tell a person YOU NEED JESUS and no other religoin or path can save .

How come folks think its love and loving to allow gays in your own church to continue in sin .
How come folks think its okay to let other who LOVE money feel okay
How come folks think its love to allow other religions to beleive they are fine as is
How come folks thinks its love and loving to allow those who profess CHRIST to walk in darkness .
I USED TO DO THAT . I used to love and justify my own sin , yet could lip the name of JESUS .
NOW allow me a moment to PRAISE and THANK GOD FOR HIS LOVE and HIS MERCY , HIS TRUE GRACE
which both saved me and changed me drawing me to true biblical Christ and loving the TRUTH of ALL HIS SAYINGS
and the truth in that bible .
Cause allow me to be loving and show us some love by reminding us of what JOHN once wrote
HE who says HE knows GOD but walks in darkness IS A LIAR and the TRUTH AINT IN HIM .
SO how come its known as hate to correct SIN in the church . WELL certain PC SINS anyway .
WE better learn our bibles well and be exhorting one another daily lest any does become
hardened through the decietfulness of sin , lest any root of bitterness does spring up and MANY thereby be defiled .
GOD wasnt fooled by my false mouth profession of JESUS when i walked in darkness and loved and justified my own sin .
SO DONT EXPECT HIM TO BE FOOLED BY ANYONE ELSES EITHER . I say this out of love and not to condmen .
BUT ITS TRULY HIGH TIME we get planted back in the bibles again .

I believe that loving your neighbour is inclusive of those who walk a different path to ourselves. Not that I'm saying that those you mentioned are on the right path but we should show God's love to them, not by pointing the finger of judgment but by extending the hand of friendship. The bible tells us Jesus didn't come to condemn the
world, and immediately after John 3:16 we see:
John 3:17
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
So whoever we are and whatever our life choices God's Son does not condemn us but He does want us to turn to him and turn our backs on those pathways that are incompatible with God's word.

We are to be kind to all and do good unto all . And point to Christ .
What we are NOT to do is be unequally yoked .

The key was i said those inside your church . Anyone is free to enter into the church
but the church is to preach all sound doctrine and to correct all sin . That was the original pattern .
If we KNOW , KNOW one is a sin they have to be corrected . A little leaven will quickly leaven the place .
I have seen this first hand through the seeker friendly nightmare .
THEY allow anyone in , WHICH aint the PROBLEM , but then they wont correct anyone
they wont preach sound doctrine , they simply allure them and keep them mesmorized under what they think
is godly entertainment . IT dont work . The only thing that happens is the church itself falls away . IT just get worse and worse over time .
Most folks WHO even JUSTIFY SIN feel COMFORTABLE within the church walls . NOW WHERE IS THE SPIRIT IN THAT .
cause no lamb feels comfortable in SIN . SEE the problem is
they fooled us into this pattern of what they think works best . IT DIDNT .
Number one you dont go and ask UNREPENTANT SINNERS how they can make church FUN for them .
Most folks who left a church did so cause they did not like something that was taught .
In church prophesying is dire important . Sound bible doctrine is dire important . Correction is dire important
Building the church up is dire important . But overlooking sins for the sake of unity and keeping folks comfortable
IS BAD NEWS . The leaders were all about numbers , and lets fact it , MONEY too .
WHEN the church gets turned into a BUSINESS , more and more doctrine that offends will be silenced .
Because that keeps profits down . THE THING IS the CHURCH aint a business , ITS SUPPOSED to be the BODY OF CHRIST .
