I used to think I was more spiritual than my husband. After all, I don't often catch him praying or reading the Scriptures in front of me.
But when he goes out of his way to be kind, he does it in this quiet unassuming way. He doesn't make a big deal out of it or even let on that he is thinking of the action.
Although he works very hard and is often tired, he never complains about working. When people put him on the spot for money, he simply prays about it and gives without resentment or making that person feel like they owe anything.
He forgives a lot and easier than me. Things that Id have a bad attitude about, he lets roll off his back.
I have much to learn about truly loving others. In 1 Corinthians 13, it talls about charity or love seeking not its own. I used to wonder exactly what it meant. But I think it means when you do something good, you don't seek self-gratification for it by holding people over a barrel or doing it begrudgingly or letting everyone know how put out you are by doing it.
