Lost Church Disciplines

What are some of the lost disciplines that the church doesn't teach on anymore?

I've noticed a few of them. They hardly teach on spirituality. How to properly engage the Holy Spirit.

Another one is fasting! In Matthew chapter 6 He puts prayer and Fasting on the same level. It says not if you pray....it says when you pray, like He has commanded us to do it and expects us to. then He goes on to first say how not to do it, then after that how to do it properly. Ok, simple.

Then He continues to talk and starts saying when you fast...(not If you fast), dont do it this way but do it that way. How clear can it get? He is putting fasting on the same level of importance as Prayer! So fasting is very important. But they don't teach that at church. Why not? !!

I've had several Christians say to me they don't fast they wont fast. Oh that did that in olden days, I don't. And that isn't right! Fasting is a powerful tool that helps one grow spiritually and get you closer to the Lord.

I wish the church taught on Fasting more than they do. What are some lost teachings that you wish the church would teach about again?

As the Head of His Body, Christ makes sure all the members of His Body respond to His Will.

Ephesians 4:15-16​

"Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love."​

Mainstream Churches that people visit every Sunday and where most get their teaching. They seem to be teaching about Love but not fasting.

I'm a member of the Body so I am obeying and encouraging Brothers and Sisters to fast because it is actually very important I have learned. So you got that right!
