Q: Why is it so easy to lie?

A: Because human beings are natural-born liars.

†. Ps 58:3 . . The wicked are estranged from the womb; these who speak
lies go astray from birth.

That's an interesting statement. It's saying-- in so many words --that
although infants are too young to lie; they are born with a proclivity to lie,
and that's what makes them wicked because that proclivity to lie is in them
and will eventually have its way with them.

Q: So then, seeing as how liars are born that way; don't they have an
excuse?

A: Apparently not.

†. Rev 21:7-8 . . All liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire
and brimstone, which is the second death.

Q: What if liars reform and stop telling lies?

A: They can't: it's humanly impossible.

†. Jer 13:23 . . Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots?
Then you also can do good who are accustomed to doing evil.

Well; I think it's pretty clear from Rev 21:7-8 that liars have no hope. The
only thing they have to look forward to in the afterlife is a death somewhat
akin to a foundry worker falling into a vat of molten iron.

I think it is important to say here that what it isn't possible for man is possible for God. I am sure It is possible for a liar to repent if they are willing.

The problem is liars lack discernment, and are not able to see the danger their soul is in. They are in a deadly trap from which only Christ can deliver them.

Dishonesty is prohibited by one of the many commandments stipulated in
the contract that Yhvh's people agreed upon with God.

†. Lev 19:11 . .You shall not deal falsely, nor lie to one another.

Dishonesty is also prohibited by one of the many commandments stipulated
in the contract that Christ's people agreed upon with God.

†. Col 3:9 . . Lie not one to another

When Yhvh's people lie; they incur a curse because their contract with God
requires it.

†. Deut 27:26 . . Cursed is the man who does not uphold the words of this
law by carrying them out.

But when Christ's people are dishonest, they incur no curse because their
contract with God contains no curses.

Though Christ's people incur no curses for dishonesty, the fact remains that
all liars will be put to death in the lake of fire as per Rev 21:7-8, and also, all
liars will be barred entry to the holy city as per Rev 21:27.

Q: What about forgiven liars?

A:
Forgiven liars are still liars and will continue to be dishonest just like
always. Forgiveness alone effects no changes to the base nature of one's
innermost being. Forgiveness is like taking a bath. Though your body gets
clean in a bath, your body isn't altered by it. You come out of the tub with
the very same body with which you stepped in.

The holy city described in the 21st chapter of Revelation isn't for forgiven
liars; it's for people who never lie; in point of fact: are quite incapable of it.

here imho is the great misunderstanding, but understood only too well by Paul as at Rmns.7:13-23 - it is precisely because we after the fall are not guilty that Christ came and comes to plead our case - winc

†. Gal 3:24 . .The law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we
might be justified by faith.

The koiné Greek word for "schoolmaster" is paidagogos (pahee-dag-o-gos')
which defines not a headmaster, nor a teacher, nor a tutor. It essentially
defines a servant whose responsibility it was to take their master's children
to school. In other words: a sort of chaperone who made sure the kids got
there; even if the servant had to take them by the hand to do it.

The "law" to which the writer refers is the covenant that Yhvh's people
agreed upon with God as per Deut 29:9-15. Although Gentiles aren't
contracted with God to comply with the covenant, it's useful for revealing
God's feelings about certain kinds of behavior; for example:

†. Lev 19:11 . .You shall not lie one to another.

Once a Gentile is made aware that their maker disapproves of lies,
henceforth they get in hot water every time they lie because God is lenient
with uninformed liars but has little patience with scofflaws.

†. Num 15:30-31 . .The person, be he citizen or stranger, who acts defiantly
reviles the Lord; that person shall be cut off from among his people.
Because he has spurned the word of the Lord and violated His
commandment, that person shall be cut off-- he bears his guilt.

†. 1John 1:8-10 . . If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and
the truth is not in us. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a
liar, and His word is not in us.

John's first epistle wasn't penned for the benefit of the outside world. It was
penned specifically for Christians. So then, it is my opinion that John is
saying that Christians are (among other things) dishonest; which includes
things like deception, side-stepping, guile, dissembling, half truths, forgery,
plagiarism, falsifying information, putting up a front, double speak,
insincerity, concealing important facts, fraud, sophistry, cover-ups, and
spinning, etc.

When Christians say that they never do things like that; then they are the
kind of liars who lie to themselves; viz: they're delusional.

So; it appears to me that dishonesty-- though unbecoming for Christians --is
nevertheless the norm. So if dishonesty is the norm, then how are Christians
going to get around the passage below:

"All liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone,
which is the second death." (Rev 21:7-8)

That passage doesn't say that some liars will end up in the lake of fire, no; it
says "all".

That's not the only bad news. According to the passage below, there are no
liars' names recorded in the Lamb's book of life.

"No one who practices lying, shall ever come into [the holy city, the new
Jerusalem] but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of
life." (Rev 21:27)

If Christians are dishonest in this life, it's reasonable to expect that they will
be dishonest in the next; and thus barred from both the holy city and the
Lamb's book of life unless God has a trick up His sleeve for amputating a
Christian's human nature and replacing it with His own.

Prior to meeting the Conservative Baptist minister who would eventually lead
me to break away from the Roman Catholic Church; it occurred to me that it
would sure be a whole lot easier to please God if I was like Him instead of
like me. Well; imagine the amazement that washed over me upon
discovering that my thoughts were on the right track.

†. 2Pet 1:4 . . He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises,
in order that by them you might become partakers of the divine nature.

The divine nature is the cat's meow because God is 110% sinless through
and through.

Christian's human nature and replacing it with His own
.
I called the trick "amputate" but the Bible calls it circumcision.

†. Col 2:11 . . In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the
sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the
circumcision done by Christ

What that tells me is: when I leave here through the door of death, my
human nature won't be coming with me. I'll be leaving with only the divine
nature about which Peter spoke at 2Pet 1:4. Thus when I arrive on the other
side, I won't be dishonest anymore, nor ever again, because the divine
nature has some limitations.

1• It cannot lie. (Titus 1:2)

2• It cannot be tempted. (Jas 1:13)

3• It cannot sin. (1John 3:9)

Q: When do Christ's followers obtain this so-called divine nature?

A: Note the grammatical tense of the "have" verb in the statements below.
It's present tense rather than future; indicating that Christ's believing
followers possess the divine nature right now-- no delay and no waiting
period.

†. John 3:36 . . He who believes in the Son has eternal life

†. John 6:47 . .Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life.

†. John 5:24 . . I assure you, those who heed my message and trust in God
who sent me, have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins,
but they have already passed from death into life.

According to God's testimony as an expert witness in all things pertaining to
His son, Christians who lack the divine nature, also lack His son; viz: they
are quite christless.

†. 1John 5:11-12 . . And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life,
and this life is in His son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not
have the life, does not have God's son.

I goes without saying that christless Christians are not the Lord's sheep.

†. Rom 8:9 . . If anyone does not have the spirit of Christ, he does not
belong to Christ.

So; what does all this say to me? Well; it says to me that Christians lacking
the divine nature are neither heeding Christ's message nor trusting in God
who sent him, plus, they abide in death; viz: they are not believers; they're
make-believers; and according to Matt 7:22-23 there's more than a few:
there's many.

I'd imagine there's going to be a lot of bitter resentment at the Great White
Throne event depicted at Rev 20:11-15 when people I knew in life see me in
the gallery dressed in white watching them being condemned to the lake of
flaming sulfur for doing the very same thing in life that I did. "Hey!" they'll
yell in protest. "What about him? How come he gets a pass when he's just
as much a liar as we are?"

And the Lord will answer: "Who Cliff? Oh yeah; I remember him. He was a
pretty chronic liar in life: couldn't trust a thing he said. But at least Cliff
had the good sense to take me up on, not a sex change; but a change of
nature. As a result, Cliff is no longer a liar; in point of fact it is impossible
for Cliff to lie and just as impossible to tempt him to lie. And as for all Cliff's
dishonesty in life? Well; I took care of all that on the cross so my Father
would have nothing with which to charge him. Up here, Cliff is an innocent
man. Sorry about that."

Heaven is sometimes depicted as the peak of a high mountain. All around
the base of the mountain are roads leading to the peak. But according to
Christ; only one road makes it up there; and all the other ones are dead
ends, drop offs, loops, and cul-de-sacs.

†. John 14:6 . . I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to
the Father, but through me.

If traditional Christianity is the truth, then an awful lot of people are facing a
very unpleasant future. For example, according to my sources, there are
approximately:

50 thousand Scientologists
15 million Mormons
8.2 million Jehovah's Witnesses
7.31 million Baha'i
483.8 million Buddhists
454.6 million Chinese Folk Religionists
6.4 million Confucianists
258.5 million Ethnic Religionists
935.5 million Hindus
5.7 million Jains
1.5 billion Muslims
1.8 million Orthodox Jews
64.2 million New Religionists
2.8 million Shintoists
24.2 million Sikhs
13.8 million Spiritists
8.8 million Taoists
640 million Non Religious
138.8 million Atheists

The grand total of just those nineteen categories alone is 4,569,460,000

If those figures are in the ball park, and if traditional Christianity is the
truth; then at the least 63% of the earth's current population is on a road to
hell; and no doubt some of those are people we know: our friends, our
relatives, and our associates.

Those 4.6 billion people all have something in common. Know what it is?
They're all liars; every one of them. Think about it. If traditional Christianity
is the truth, then the others are untrue; viz: they're lies; and you probably
know that means without me having to tell you.

†. Rev 21:7-8 . . All liars; their part will be in the lake that burns with fire
and brimstone, which is the second death.

NOTE
: It's my feeling that Roman Catholicism is a twisted version of
Christianity. Of course it isn't twisted just because I feel that way; but
supposing it really is?

That would add, roughly, another 1.143 billion people to the numbers, for an
adjusted total of 5,712,460,000 people currently on a road to hell. That's a
whopping 78.9% of the world's currently estimated population. That's an
insane percentage, but not totally unexpected.

†. Luke 13:22-24 . . And he went through the cities and villages, teaching,
and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then said one unto him, master, are there
few that be saved? And he said unto them: Strive to enter in at the strait
gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

†. Matt 7:13-14 . . Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and
broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But
small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find
it.

†. Matt 22:14 . . For many are called, but few are chosen.
