Interesting words.

Thank God for the renewing of our minds when you go and seek Christ.

Is the point to point out the liar or help the liar get to the truth and be set free from darkness?

What is the point in all of these things? To lead people to truth right? The only way to get to the truth is to read and reflect on the word of God that is true. Jesus is truth, the Holy Spirit is called the spirit of truth.

Is it good to lie? No. Have you and me? Oh yes most assuredly. Does God forgive? Yes, has he forgiven you? Yes.

God is a good God who loved the world first and because of that you, me whoever has found the truth in Christ of forgiveness should in turn change and look towards Him and willingly live by the spirit which if a choice you have to decide for yourself.

To serve God and Jesus or not.

"Johnny, who broke this flashlight ?"
"I don't know"
"John H. Sapien, did you break this flashlight?"
"No mommy, I didn't do it."
"Then why is there chocolate all over it and all over your hands?"
"You gave me a candy bar, mommy."
"Johnny, how did the chocolate get on the flashlight?"
"I don't know mommy."
...

Sin defines humanity. Everything that we do that is not according to God's will is sin.
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

Yes it is true.

1John 2:2 . . . He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but
also for the sins of the whole world.

A forgiven liar will continue to be dishonest because they were born that
way.

"Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots? Neither can you
do good who are accustomed to doing evil." (Jer 13:23)

What is there to be done about that?

I'm glad I wasn't born a liar...it was bad enough being born a sinner!

Blessings in Christ Jesus! From the moment I was born, I was a liar, a killer, and a thief. I had my fathers nature, who was a liar, a killer, and a thief. As I grew, I walked in darkness, I did not know. When you turn on the news(not that you do), what do you see? Do you see liars, killers and thieves. They do not know either." Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover feast, many believed in His Name when they saw the signs which he did; but Jesus did not trust Himself to them, because He knew all men and needed no one to bear witness to man; for He Himself knew what was in man." One day a few years ago, when I was reading this, The Lord(The Holy Spirit) had a teaching for me. And with teaching, comes understanding. I was taken to varies places in the Bible to read what was said. It was all brought together perfectly as He is Perfect. I was taken to the old to where The Lord was describing the thoughts and imaginations of man, to what the serpent promised Eve, to when Jesus rebuked Peter, and to when Jesus said "your father the devil. It ended with, "Father forgive them, they know not what they do". And truly truly they do not. I do stop by on occasion to read these boards and occasionally I am led to write. I do not come to boards to argue scripture, for what is written is written. Some of your words have made me smile as of late as I see the dross being burn off. So be encouraged you non liar you.LOL

A forgiven liar will continue to be dishonest because they were born that
way. What is there to be done about that?

Well; I think we can be fairly certain that dishonesty is neither tolerated nor
practiced in Heaven's society; which is a curious thing because the Bible
says that every man is dishonest; so the question is; How does anybody at
all make the cut? I mean; if people were dishonest down here, then would
they not continue to be dishonest up there unless something were done to
disconnect themselves from their selves?

God has devised a way to do that very thing by means of a special
circumcision.

Col 2:11-12 . . In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the
sinful nature-- not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with
the circumcision done by Christ --having been buried with him in baptism
and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him
from the dead.

In a nutshell: although redeemed liars typically continue to be dishonest
down here, they don't take that proclivity with them when they pass on;
instead, the special circumcision makes it possible for them to part company
with their unacceptable tendencies and they go into eternity completely free
of human nature's weaknesses: a benefit of the regeneration that Jesus
spoke of at John 3:3-12.

Christianity is sometimes criticized as a license to steal because when people
come to faith in Christ, the file that God was accumulating against them gets
demolished and from thence He does not begin compiling a new file.

2Cor 5:19 . . God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not
counting their trespasses against them

The Greek word translated "counting" is logizomai (log-id'-zom-ahee) which
means to take an inventory; i.e. an indictment.

2Cor 5:19 is quite an advantage because when there are no books on
people, then there is nothing on record with which to accuse them, i.e. it's
as though they've never been anything but 100% innocent, viz: blameless.

This may seem like cooking the books, but God has a way to do it on the up
and up without obstructing justice.
