If you can tell me the meaning of the symbolism of the great harlot Babylon the great's demise, as mentioned in Revelation 17:16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

Then I will tell you the meaning of the symbolism for the smoke, and torment of the Lake of Fire.

Im not asking for the meaning. I’m asking for your thought on it. If you think it’s symbolic, my first thought was, hmm…symbolic of what? I was curious.

I don’t really see the great harlot as symbolic exactly. I see her as…organized religion which is…the modern day Tower of Babel men have systematically built to try to reach to heaven, and the offshoots/horns as denominations/children of the harlot, each trying to make a name for themselves, who…pick whichever idols of their mother they want to keep and whichever idols of their mother not to keep.That’s an approximation anyway, of what I see.

I've enjoyed your company here but if you think the activity here is going to hinder your walk with the Lord it's probably just as well. Most of the people who are here don't belong here. I'm not even sure if I do sometimes.

Johann, do I…rub you the wrong way? You’ve said you feel I talk in riddles and that I dance around speaking unplainly. I had thought you’d been hurt and burned by religion and religious people and craved true intimacy with brothers in the Spirit but that you didn’t yet know who was safe for you in here, who wore a religious mask and who was real, and so you held back your heart until you could determine who was trustworthy to accept and care for you. Did I discern wrongly?

The fact that you don’t think you know it all tells me you are in a good and farther place with God than you imagine you are. Don’t focus on the certainties and doctrines of men. It’s a Tower of Babel. He means better things for you. The little you’ve shared about the trials you have been and are going through show me that He is exercising your trust and purifying you for Himself. It feels awful now, but He knows what He is doing and, as Teresa said, He treats all His friends this way. That is why He has so few of them.

I don’t mean it’s normal for those still of the world. It’s a normal stage for us. I was there for maybe…six years. I had no idea what He was doing for me, in me, during that time. It mostly felt like He was mean and unrelenting to me during it. It felt like abandonment. It correlates to the book of Job.
