If Jesus preacher prosperity, he sure was failure or a hypocrite.
Jesus showed that when you WORK THE FIELDS for the kingdom of God ALL of your needs shall be GIVEN unto you for a worker is worth his wages.

8 And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread,
no money in their purse:
KJV
Luke 22:35-36
35 And he said unto them,
When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes,
lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
36 Then said he unto them,
But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
KJV
Mark 10:29-31
29 And
Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children,
or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
30
But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
31 But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.

Ps 112:1-3
112:1
Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
KJV
Eccl 5:19
Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.

Prov 3:13-18
13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

Matt 6:29-33
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

I love the way those who claim that God is their source really try with their own efforts to gain their treasures claiming that it is a sin to look to the Father for their needs. These walk by faith alright... faith in their ownself or the government of this world.... but not as the Hebrews children in their wilderness walk as they had to learn to LEAN on God and His Word for their needs.
Jesus WAS rich, yet he BECAME poor for our sakes. God does not instantly drop riches in our laps to cause us to fall as the devil does. God wants us to start at the bottom and grow in His Word so that we have GOOD understanding of what wealth is for. Jesus is our foundation to build upon.. for we must be founded on the Word to grow in his likeness of sons to inherit all things. When we grow, no longer are we children who have an inheritance under someone else's care.. we grow up to receive it.
1 Cor 3:21-23
21 Therefore let no man glory in men.
For all things are yours;
22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas,
or the world, or life, or death,
or things present, or things to come; all are yours;
23 And
ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
KJV
Gal 4:1-7
4:1 Now I say,
That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
2
But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
