Isaiah 5:7
[7] For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.

He looked for Judgement, but behold oppression. ...he saw “oppression” when what he looked for was “Judgement”.

What judgment was he looking for?
Isaiah 16 says “But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.”

How does Gods Judgement differ from oppression?

From what I gather from your question, it seems you are likening judgment with oppression. Not sure really... Juat seems that way. But this verse speaks of God executing judgment to relieve the oppresed.

Honestly FHII, I was attempting to show is: oppression is not Judgement. Because God looked for Judgement and saw something else instead. How does God’s Judgement relieve the oppressed?

God's judgement is based on perfect knowledge of what was done and why it was done.
Therefore God's justice is just and true.

As everuthing good ultimately comes from God, everyone who is 'good' responds to Gods goodness and follows him.

The nice person who is not a Christian is rejecting the source of 'good' and so cannot be good enough to meet God's standard of goodness, in short that 'nice' person is a law breaker/sinner.

Yes. Yet to clarify the question further: why does man oppress another and call it Judgement?

God set men(the house of Israel)over His vineyard, what were they to do that they didn’t do? How did those elected or chosen, issue forth judgement?

Psalm 103:6
[6] The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

How does the Lord’s righteousness and judgement help all that are oppressed? As opposed to pushing one down, He sets free.

Isaiah 58:6-10
[6] Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? [7] Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? ..agree , that comes from the "knowledge" from the tree I guess.
The tree had both good and evil...yet God is not into good and evil...God is a God of LIFE.

For me, I believe...and I am sure no one will agree, but that is fine.

God saw the travail of his soul and was satisfied ( Isa 53)
I believe ALL judgement was poured out at the cross upon Jesus.
He came, He took it...and God was satisfied.

I believe that is why Jesus took the scroll and read ( Luke 4:18)
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

As we know He was quoting Isa 60
BUT, He did not complete the verses!!!
He quoted :- "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God..
..which He did NOT quote in his reading.

Why? Because He was the last Lamb...come to take all vengeance upon Himself...which He did... at the cross. ✟

Because selfishness never wants to be seen to be selfish, or greed to be seen to be greed.

We always seek to put the best possible appearance on our wrong doings.
