It's always been by grace through faith,,,,by believing God
God gave them commandments and by faith did them....they believed the sacrifices would pardon their sin,,,their forgiveness was always based on the blood of Christ but not revealed til Paul

Thanks for that great answer Jack.
I'll go read my bible.

Guess you don't have an idea....
I have an idea that those who sit in church and are too lazy to STUDY the Bible are heading for "everlasting fire"!

You're a nice person Jack.
I like nice people.
Luckily, these nice people are few and far between.

So you think those that do not read the bible are going to hell?
Where is that in scripture please?

So you think it's THE BIBLE that saves a person...
not FAITH.
Where is that in scripture please?

Also, since you're such an expert at all things biblical, I'm sure you'll know the
following verse:

John 13:35
35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

I'd ponder that for a bit if I were you.

Sounds like you don't STUDY the Bible.

We cant just believe Jesus is Christ the Son of God and that's it....we have to believe the gospel revealed to Paul for us to believe....Jesus died for our sins was buried rose for our justification
what about the Gospel revealed by Jesus does this count to you?

JOHN 3:16 IS THIS OUR GOSPEL?

Yes, I believe that John 3:16 applies to all believers, not only because it says so (that "whosoever", which in Greek reads "all"), but because the need to trust the Son of God is embedded into both Jamesian and Pauline theology.

The Gospel in a nutshell.
James 2:18-20 [NASB20] But someone may [well] say, "You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works." You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. But are you willing to acknowledge, you foolish person, that faith without works is useless?

I think you just allowed demons into heaven.

I view the Gospel (good news) closer to: If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced."- Romans 10:9-11 [NLT]

Satan seems to be allowed in heaven:

The four Gospels are witnesses to Christ they will all be slightly different to what the writer thought was important or stuck out to them. You can't expect them to be exactly the same. The Gospel of John is unique in it is dedicated to the divinity of Christ unlike the other Gospel who speak of the mission of Christ and his preaching. Each Gospel will be missing stuff from the other gospels just as they are missing points also.
Christians hold fast to the Gospel of John its considered the most important because it clearly identifies who Jesus is directly. If you have never read the Gospel of John and are a Christian what are you waiting for?You want to know why people love John's Gospel the most read it.Its the closes Gospel for you knowing Jesus personally. There is no doubt after reading John's gospel that Jesus was God to John and that is the message he is sending from his gospel.John is telling you Jesus is God.

You bring up a good point about "believing in doctrine" not being what saves us (which is why I find this "You need to believe Paul's statement of the Good News and not Jesus's to be saved" to be ridiculous).

I like that the NLT translators translated πιστεύω ("pisteuo") in verse 11 as "trusts". I think this is a key point, and I think your objection would be satisfied if the translators had translated "pisteuo" as "trust" the same way in verses 9 and 10:

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and trust in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by trusting in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced."

Submitting ourselves to the Lordship of Christ, and trusting in the Resurrection, both Jesus's and our own future one.

And John 3:16 should also translate "pisteuo" as "trust":

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who trusts in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.

The goal of the Good News is to get the receiver to trust in Jesus, not just to believe something about Jesus.

Satan entered heaven all the time before Christ to lament to God how unworthy humanity is to obtain eternal life. The bible tells us he would go at God day and night constantly demeaning humanity and demanding we not receive eternal life.Satan was vanquished from heaven by the victory of Christ and peace was brought to heaven no longer could the devil lament day and night to God how horrible we are and how we don't deserve eternal life.Jesus vanquished the devil from heaven forever.

The gospel revealed to Paul is the gospel of Christ....Christ gave it to Paul
Do you remember the concept of testing any texts from the bible compared to what Jesus said? please now do this, compare what both Paul and Jesus said the gospel was and see if it is the same or not

Yes I remember but you cant say God only deals with mankind in one specific manner
Lets look at one specific dealing....God brought in the flood to Noah...didnt he say he would not do that again?....didnt he therefore make a change
There really isnt much difference in what Jesus said in the gospels and what he said to Paul,,
In the gospels Jesus said they had to believe he was Christ the Son of God...Paul preached that upon his conversion
Jesus said his blood was shed for the sins of Israel...Paul said it was shed for all
Thats not to say there arent differences but Paul is not set in opposition to Jesus but rather in further revelations

Look at the CORE message of both, there are important differences. Some similarities but also important differences, Paul's gospel is lacking key elements. I want you to see them for yourself, it is the only way to learn the truth, rely on yourself and ALWAYS on the words of Jesus, his teachings alone will give you eternal life if you listen to him.

Blessings.

I see nor will see anything lacking......cant you just say what is lacking
Did you identify the core of the message for both, write them down and compare side by side. If i do it for you you will have missed a lot, doing it will help yo see. Try it out i will be back tomorrow.

peace.
