Is real fellowship possible on an internet forum?

We spent so much time debating one another I sometimes wonder if real fellowship is possible.Fellowship as in a encouraging of life in one another. I have heard many ask about miracles but I am looking for that river of living water that is supposed to spring up from within us. Is it possible that we are still struggling with choices about with tree to eat from within the pages of the bible? We can read the bible for knowledge, as most do (myself included) or we can seek to find life from the pages that only the Spirit can bring. Does anyone else see or experience this struggle?

I try , and sometimes fail , to follow the Holy Spirit's leading with what I share on forums with others and remember it is another human just like me that I am speaking with . Treat others with respect even if it is difficult at times to rein in the brain to fingers typing .

We can read the bible for knowledge, as most do (myself included) or we can seek to find life from the pages that only the Spirit can bring.

I have found those that would bitterly oppose what I say to change their attitude if I do not bitterly respond to them , maybe diffuse the tension with humor or PM them and talk about life in general . I notice the bitterness in later postings between us is not really there anymore .

Oh yes,
It's possible. But the two (or more) have to be seeking it. That's not the majority of people who show up. But the blessed few who do....AMEN!!!!

I have had this on a much smaller forum with Christian’s that have become friends. Also each of us allows one another to say what’s on their hearts as they have looked at scripture. There is also a willingness to learn. What I have found on the bigger forums is that many come here to proclaim rather than to learn and grow, or even listen. Then the judgments begin and often as not it’s difficult to have a small group discussion on things. Maybe it’s more to do with the motives for being on a forum

I find that real fellowship is in fact possible on an internet forum, but I find it to be rare, and marked with humility.
