Dear S,
Many people talk about authority and seem to use it to justify bad leadership and wrong actions. It is as if they think that just becuase you have they position what you do in the position does not matter as much as the authority of the office.
I tend to disagree. I think the Holy Spirit is the greatest authority. Why not simply allow the Holy Spirit to lead an guide us as to whom we listen to and obey. My measure of authority is if I hear the voice of my Father speaking through them. If I do I listen...if I don't it does not matter what they say or who they are.
