I have to disagree...Jesus tells us to be wise as serpents, gentle as doves...and He says over and over to not be deceived...we must stay informed with our surroundings...we don't want to be ignorant and caught unaware....
God told me to keep my eyes on Israel...why? To witness the fulfillment of prophesy and be aware of the times.
He gave us signs....what good are the signs that are to signal His return is soon if we don't look for them?

Its not the same thing at all . I keep an eye on what is going on in this world . yet i got no hope in its men at all .
WE can keep an eye on what is going on around us and be in prayer , but our hope aint to be in this world , its govts

It seems to me that we live BOTH in Christ and in the world, and are responsible to BOTH:

But if we wish to pretend that we're NOT in the world, we should transform into "LIGHT" so that we neither have to eat, sleep, or occupy space.
