I’m in a strange place: very conservative, but not Christian

Can anyone offer any insight into this?

Conservative / Liberal is a “political” / “governing establishment” agenda.

Disbelief in God, is a “religious...or anti-religious” belief/standing.

While your standing/belief IS Against God being your Creator/Maker...
Regardless of your “political stance of a favored seated for governing”...

I am interested IN what you do believe Created and Made...

I'm not sure what you're getting at mate, I just chilled and knuckled down to serving my time without complaining or batting an eye..:)
In fact I was laying on my bunk one morning reading 'Geronimo: Apache Warrior' from the prison library when a guard opened my cell door and said "What's up? Don't you want to leave us?" because I'd clean forgot it was my release day, so I hurriedly packed up and was signed out the main gate.

IMO, liberalism is insanity. You don't want people to steal yourself, so you oppose theft. You want people to leave you alone, so you leave them alone. You want to eat, so you work. All conservative, and unrelated to God. Things we associate with liberalism, like gender mutilating children, rationalizing crime, and socialism, and having children without a mom and dad together are impractical and destructive.

I think liberalism, or the American left, is mostly a defiant reaction to Christians. And, I think self-righteous Christians spend a lot of time pouring gasoline on the fires of liberalism. Liberals don't demand that I love the sexually immoral, but conservative Christians do. You don't find much as much liberalism in Asian countries that don't have a history of Christianity. Japan doesn't have same-sex marriage, America does -- I believe Christians are the reason.

Sadly this is true . the problem is the evangelical realm has long been infiltrated by the wrong men .
The church was to shine the light , not compromise the light to fit society .
THEY did this for survival . They turned the church into a money making machine .
ANd in order to keep the money coming in , to increase , well they had to pander to society .
Not all within the evangelical realm are doing this , BUT VERY VERY VERY many are .
But its huge all over the liberal realm of churches too .

THough more once were . We must return to the scriptures for ourselves . DO not let
the bad seeds and their dark doctrine keep YOU from coming to GOD , to CHRIST .
For your own sake return to the scripture and be in prayer and bible reading . In the end
all will stand before CHRIST as either sheep or goats . And no man wants to be a goat on that day .
We have a wonderful true gift IN JESUS THE CHRIST . a free gift . Beware of man for he decieves
