As I get more organized, I am itching for a chance to do an emergency binder with all our important household information.

I would absolutely hate for our children to not know how to find important information and have a ton of clutter to sift through should something happen to us.

I have had so much fun this weekend, it doesn't seem real.

We went to a Japanese restaurant with a buffet style menu and it was great! I tackled a lot of business but I had time and resources to make a centerpiece, color in some pages, journal, and organize our new bathroom.

We've been in survival mode for so long, the peace and fun feels strange.

I have had one of these for years, my mum had one as well and then I put one together for my dad - they are really helpful x

I find I have many lazy days since I retired - I find it difficult sometimes, my motivation has been seriously affected - thankfully it’s not all the time !

I decided to try grass fed beef organ supplements yesterday. Reviewers reported an increase in energy, hormone balance, and improved mood.

I wanted to feel less depleted from pregnancies.

Every night, Im usually up from 1, 2, or 3 am for about two hours before I can sleep again. This has been a nightly thing. You can take up to 6 pills at a time. I took 2.

I went to bed at 9pm like usual. I did not wake up till 6:26am. I even had those little crusties in my eyes. Very interesting. So far so good.

This phenomenon not only occurs in pregnant women, but also in sexagenarian men with growing prostates.

The natural supplements you're trying are probably better than the Tylenol PM I use. The Benadryl works the first night and maybe the second, but it loses its effectiveness with continual use.

I can never repay the blessings God has done in my life. Peace, rest, and joy from Him and in the richness of a season past pruning and into reaping.

IMy husband seems happier. He helped me so much today around the house. I took a two hour nap. His parents have taken baby girl. I get to watch rain and sun from our new patio.

The evil in this world is discouraging at times. I look around and virtue is ignored. I've had to let go of many female friends who claimed to be Christian because they wanted to claim that without truly pursuing God in their lifestyle. They still desperately craved attention, unGodly relationships, oversharing, not having discretion, being immodest in clothes and actions, drawing attention to themselves and competing with other women in an envious way.

It's not that I've never been there or done any of those things. But in order to move away from that and follow the Lord, I had to distance myself from friends who weren't moving in that direction. And for a while, I just didn't have friends.

God meant it for good though. In that isolation time, I learned to stand on God's Word and be bold for Him.

Memories for the Kids…

We have “journals” of sorts made when each kid was young…aside from the “traditional’ baby books, had particular info …pix, height, weight, lock of hair, finger prints, nic-names, etc. more for “emergency”…and have “important” info for what to do, should we the “folks” pass….Made photo albums for each…(their school pix, they with mom, they with dad, they with siblings…
(So…hint, hint…when taking pix…group pix nice….but one with one…nice too)..and “special” books for each one, (they do not know about), they will receive when we pass…with pix, special times only about each kid, how much love and joy they particularly added to our lives. We have “genealogy” records for each as well (documentation, certificates, pix’s, etc.)

And agree…it takes a lot of work and organization.
Hint…Our kids were close in age, and always busy busy with their daily lives….so kept a bin for each kid, and would hurriedly add a pix, a note, a memorable reminder, and did “the” actual assembling for their “books” later.

God bless you and yours.

Glory to God,

Busy today….Got about 1,000 feet of fence cleared…of all the dying wild flowers and picker vines that cling to the fence like twisted glue…and burning...Not too windy, but 85* so, work was slow…back at it today, getting prepared before winter.

In my opinion, people with land who homestead in any way are some of the wisest people in this country.

Neither of us learned important life lessons from parents…took awhile, but concluded God first, and work hard, save, buy land!!! spend the rest of our lives (don’t borrow don’t use “credit” options,) building as can afford, garden, canning, tending, animals, family, neighbors, keep, a bit aside for this or that unexpected….don’t go broke with the insurances…gadgets…nonsense buying to impress others….
AS well, as you have mentioned…like thrifting, stores, adds, etc. Have the skills and tools and imagination to make an others “don’t want”…into an attractive need for us.

Ours kids are grown, but visit, bring their broods…the little kids play with the animals, walk about the trails, play in the dirt pile…and when they can reach the gas peddle, we teach them how to drive the truck, and have “roads” on our property and let them drive around…”good lesson”….then they learn to drive the tractor…and “beg” to mow in the fields… LOL…
We had a “philosophy” the kids were told early on…we don’t have time to be “sick” “so don’t be sick”….a mind set of sorts, I suppose, but pretty much seems to have worked…never had use for a “family” doctor. Maybe be strange to some…but none of us takes p-script or otherwise drugs.
Astounding to me, of number of people that daily gulp handfuls of pills, especially “children”.

Little kids…Yes…early on, toddler Bible…!!
