These could all be speaking of the same book in different titles. Much like this one:

“Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.” (Psalms 69:28)

These written in the “book of the living” are righteous. There is no other book they are written in…

The scriptures often speak of things in different terms.

Epi speaks of the ways OF God and you are asking about the ways TO God.

I'd like to hear you comment on why it was necessary for Jesus to go preach to the spirits in the place of the dead? Two of us here brought this up at the same time. It's not carnal reasoning, it is bible. Why was it so necessary that those souls meet Jesus and hear the gospel?

No one in the OT had the opportunity to walk in Zion as people do in the NT. No one had the opportunity to hear the gospel of the kingdom. (Although the Israelites in the wilderness LIVED out the gospel)

This is not about salvation...but admittance into the city...Zion. No one was born in heavenly Zion before Pentecost.

Do you understand the difference between the righteous and the holy?

The OT is ONLY concerned with righteousness. So the Jesus had to make holiness available to the saints of the OT.

Even John the Baptist. He was the greatest of ALL men in righteousness. yet even the least in Zion is greater than he.

Jesus re-established the balance between the righteous and the holy....by giving the righteous in the OT a shot at believing the gospel of the kingdom...INTO holiness.

If we start entertaining the nuances of translations we’ll end up deep in the weeds of confusion.

Jesus calls the sinners to repentance and the meek into the higher walk. Too many rich Westerners have sniffed out a future privilege status not realizing that only the meek are qualified to receive grace. He gives grace to the humble.

But Jesus doesn't call the righteous to repentance...just sinners.

Actually the saints shall rule with Christ for the thousand years and into eternity. The meek inherit the nations in the next age...2nd resurrection. All the nations rebel at the end of the Millennium. They are not the meek who inherit everlasting life. :)

Yet read in job chapter seven , read pslams , read romans . THERE IS NONE that truly IS RIGHTEOUS .
Sure they can do good things but ALL and that does mean ALL have fallen SHORT of the GLORY of GOD .
GOD has chosen how to save the WORLD . And it aint through an all inclusive lie .
ITS THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST . PS , and even if men do lip his name if their works be evil , THEY DONT know HIM either .
Those who hear and deny the gospel WILL be damned EPI . And no amount of inclusivity will save them .
You keep inventing things to fit , THAT AGENDA .

Those who walk in Zion now...will be written in the LAMB'S book of life...those who belong to Him. These are written into the CITY ...the holy city......NOT the nations.

If you don't see the connection, that's fine. You would have to seek the Lord about it.

...which holiness came with the gospel through Christ. The holy are righteous. The bible calls OT saints holy. You drawing a distinction between holiness and righteousness is not always correct..

Eph. 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Why does it say true holiness? Wasn't the temple holy....and also made with hands? Does God live in a man-made temple?

I read the Holy Bible very frequently with this attitude.

Is. 4:3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem

But this is referring to Christ’s ministry @Episkopos

“In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.” (Isaiah 4:2)

“…Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:” (Zechariah 6:12)

The Branch = Christ and the gospel.

You might have missed and inadvertently gone off the rails with me yesterday for this reason that was not warranted at all..

Your mentor believes there are two types or kinds of righteousness that I also believe in and that it where this the agreement apparently ends; in the details of each.

1. Imputed type of righteousness that Abraham and others of the OT were given directly by God himself. And we as believers are also given this credited righteousness indirectly for God, via his Son, our Christ and his. Now Epi does not differentiate or seem concerned even with the significance of the vehicle and how and why each is imputed this way...before and under the Law and under grace.

2. Practical or imparted righteousness - Epi believes in 2 LEVELS of this type of righteousness that translates into two types of walks he created to match or account for his experiences - a LOWER and HIGHER walk for the practical or imparted righteousness walk and apparently holiness as well. I vehemently and categorically disagree on this point. It is not scriptural and wrong. I believe this is where you imagined and mistook my words when I disagreed with his 2 LEVELS of this type of righteousness and you thought I said I never believed in 2 TYPES of righteousness. They are quiet different as you can see.

A little more obscure in our bibles. But Peter quoted the LXX....which says exactly what he said.

But even in our altered text there is a truth...

"The righteous will be repaid on the earth"...or....the meek shall inherit the earth.

Hey bro! The righteous are accepted...but not into the city...they go to the nations. They do not see God...they are ruled over by the saints. So they are saved but not ABUNDANTLY saved...like the saints. So they are saved by the skin of their teeth, as it were...or...scarcely saved.

They might even have to eat from a tree every month, like one who requires medication every Day to survive…
a verse might seem to suggest it to me…not sure.

Do you mean the millennium will be a thousand year punishment on earth rather than the wonderful time I have perceived it to be…?

BTW that passage about the saved of the nations (the righteous) in NOT in Rev. 22....but in Rev 21: 24

Rev. 21: 24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it (the holy city): and the kings of the earth (saints) do bring their glory and honour into it.
