I watch the show and even like it. However, I do struggle with the great liberty it takes in extra-biblical scenes.
Examples
1) Peter thinking John the baptist was "creepy"
2)Matthew being such a semi autistic person with ADHD
3)Mary Madeline backsliding
4) Nicodemus refusing the Lord's invitation
5) Thomas being engaged

To name just a few. Anyone else watch the show? If so do you struggle with the fact that some will take it as absolute truth because they have never or will in the future read the bible?

I've tried watching it but struggled with some of the same things you do. That's why I stopped watching it.

Yes. I believe God created everyone for His Glory. Don't assume what God does or doesn't do for His plan for the human race. Do not gloat over the death of an enemy, God says I created both you and your enemy. I believe in a Jezabel spirit that you can claim, because it is in the bible.

Don't get me wrong my friend, I love you in Christ's name. I speak as the Holy Spirit guides me, and with the Love of Jesus who loved me and died for me. Unison is what Jesus wants, yes differences, but we are commanded to Love one another. We must warn with love. I've won over many this way. If I'm hated, I love back. I'm with you on that. Time is short, and I warned my SS class this morning on pride. They will talk about pride and idol worship until I confronted them, and I said cars are idols, oh boy, and made several uncomfortable. I'm not going to pay for a streaming subscription, but I'm okay with "fleshing out" the background story. I remember a movie about Jesus called The Greatest Story Ever Told, and while the producers tried to meticulously stick with the biblical narrative (up to and including having Jesus speak in King James English), the end product was one of the most wooden portrayals of Jesus I've ever seen. Anybody who saw that would be driven away from Jesus and never want to open a Bible themselves.

I like Greatest Story overall. I like Robert Powell best in Jesus of Nazereth for his portrayal.
