I went to Department of Defense Schools. (Military Brat) Every teacher had a degree in the subject they taught. Each teacher measured by the classes they oversaw. We were so well taught that the Freshman year of college was ..........boring. Years later, my daughter failed the forth grade by one tenth of a point. I called for a meeting with the teacher and the Principal. That request was ignored. This was while schools in Florida were among the worst in the nation. I had read an article in the newspaper about a friend of mine that had been named Principal at a church school. I drove to his new office, sat down with him and mapped out a plan .......Poor Daughter .....Because at the time I was building a Resort Hotel at Disney World. I got up each morning at 4:30, ate breakfast and drove to Orlando from Tampa. Miss Michelle got up when Dad got up and read the paper to me over breakfast. Then she went to Sylvan Learning Center and worked until 12:00. All summer .....The Principal allowed me to put her into the 5th grade at the start of school. We paid for the private schooling. One month later .....I received a call ....the school moved her to the sixth grade. She spent her time in private school until she started High School.

I moved her back to public school. Three college degrees later .......

Public Education is taught by idiots too stupid to do anything else.
