You're not rightly dividing. We believed in/into/unto/on/upon Jesus when we came to FAITH in Him. That is what that word is talking about, as opposed to mere mental belief. You are assuming that we are starting out with nothing more than a mental belief in God rather than a true conversion by the Holy Spirit and faith of Christ, not of our own.First...that's believe INTO Him...and that life is entered into right now. It doesn't say...shall inherit life. It says HAVE life.
You have to look beyond a carnal religious grasp of things. Believing INTO Jesus means being translated into the kingdom realm to walk in resurrection life NOW! Jesus Himself IS eternal life. He is the way, the truth and the life.
To believe into Him to be saved from the pull of this world and sin. We enter into the eternal kingdom realm through the DOOR which is Christ the Lord. Many are trying to get in through other ways...by reading themselves into the text. But Jesus is coming back as a thief to steal away the inheritance of all who don't go through Him.
Is that what you do??? Really? You don't interpret the words to suit a religious ideology?
The man-centric ego has to go to the cross to be crucified otherwise all religious man-centric egos will be cast out into outer darkness.
On that day there will be feasting and celebration....but also weeping and anger. No one knows which we will be part of....the first will be last and the last first. The kingdom realm is not like this world. Nothing goes the same way. Nothing.
Yes. And He loves the righteous, the poor, the widow, the fatherless. God is merciful. There is no questionnaire in regards to inheriting life.
You have completely missed God's ways.
Though it doesn't end there, we have a race to run, the proving of our faith to undergo, testings and trials, a price to pay, etc. We need to be paying the price to be buying the extra oil for our lamps. They that are WISE will shine like the stars forever.
Phl 2:12-16
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,
for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
Do everything without grumbling or arguing,
so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky
as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.
As you quoted above, Jesus Christ is God's Way for salvation. God has ways, ways of working and doing things, but He has only one Way to be saved. Jesus said to His disciples, you know THE WAY to where I am. And that way is to follow Him. Not ways, only one way.
