Instead of a single yes or no answer I would rather showcase a handful of verses and what they and don’t say.
I’ll one right now because I’m a. It busy.
So one of the most common arguments against homosexuality comes from people using the story of Sodom and Gomorrah in genesis 19.
Genesis 19 NASB - The Doom of Sodom - Now the two angels - Bible Gateway
But what’s interesting is that up to this point you never see homosexuality mentioned, and in this chapter you never see it brought up. What’s brought up as being sinful is this.
Ezekiel 16:49-50
New American Standard Bible
49 Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had arrogance, plenty of food, and carefree ease, but she did not help the poor and needy. 50 So they were haughty and committed abominations before Me. Therefore I removed them when I saw it.
They were a very self centered village that had a elitist class. They were not hospitable. Instead of welcoming the new people they instead wanted to sexually assault them.
it’s also good to remember that Yahweh was already going to destroy them before the events of 19 came up. It’s their general mentality and treatment of krhers as to why they are destroyed. It’s not connected to gay men at all.
