Does God love those He burns in Hell "forever and ever"? Did God love those when He drowned everyone on Earth but 8 "making them an example"?

The problem wasn't with God. In His love and kindness He has always offered mercy to those who put their faith in Him. If you don't want God's Judgment upon you don't go against His Will. If God didn't punish the wicked He would not be worth worshipping and submitting to, and certainly would not be someone to have faith in.Does God love those He burns in Hell "forever and ever"? @Stumpmaster Repentance is indeed an important and wholesome doctrine. Romans 2, etc.The problem wasn't with God. In His love and kindness He has always offered mercy to those who put their faith in Him. If you don't want God's Judgment upon you don't go against His Will. If God didn't punish the wicked He would not be worth worshipping and submitting to, and certainly would not be someone to have faith in.
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
1Ti 2:3-4 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; (4) Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Rev 2:20-23 Notwithstanding I have a few things against you, because you suffer that woman Jezebel, which calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. (21) And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. (22) Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. (23) And I will kill her children with death; and all the ekklesias shall know that I am he which searches the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
So, you're saying God loves those who will burn in Hell forever and ever, and He loved all He drowned on Earth? What does He do to those He hates? The problem wasn't with God. So are you going to repent or take your chances? Best you meditate on these Scriptures, kcnalp. So, you're saying God loves those who will burn in Hell forever and ever, and He loved all He drowned on Earth? What does He do to those He hates?
Proverbs 6:16-19
16 These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.
The two or three thing is in enacting church discipline, I think, just the same, the admonition is to assemble together, I don't recall seeing numbers or venues listed. I wish I could still eat donuts! Diabetic, you know. Apple Fritters are my favorites!
Just that we need to get together regularly with fellow believers.
Much love!
Complete agreement!
One thing . . . there was a lady I knew at a home fellowship my wife and I attended for many years. We had a variety of music leaders during that time, including those who would lead us in those simple and repetitive choruses over and over and over until my mind was like mashed potatoes draining from my ears.
But I'd look at her face, and watch her sing, and I knew she was caught up in the worship of the Lord. I've never had reason to think otherwise. For her, that repetition worked.
In more recent years, I've come to appreciate some more of that, as I find that focusing my mind on a Scriptural truth, if only to say, He loves me, to focus on that helps me to focus my faith on God, and life springs from that.
The band may even intend to elevate the flesh, to appeal to the senses, to manipulate the emotions, but whether for good reason or bad, Christ is preached, or, for me, faith is increased.
But yes, I agree, it can become just another drug addiction, a deceiptful corruption within the flesh.
Much love!
I don't understand the problem. I have been diabetic for 20 years, and have never been restricted in any way as to what I eat or the amount I eat.I wish I could still eat donuts! Diabetic, you know. Apple Fritters are my favorites!
@marksman Sounds a bit like Acts 2.42... :)
My Bible says that HE will build HIS church. That is the one I am excited about.Wow! Did my opinion of YOU ever change. (And I had no idea you owned a church...)
No worries as they say in Oz Land.I'm sorry if I got the wrong idea. It seemed that you were looking for people to relate their experiences to verify your suspicions that they are a cult.
Much love!
This is my current desert of choice:If you can't eat donuts you definitely have a cross to bear. I think they come second only to chocolate. In my bible, it says God so loved the world he invented chocolate.
Let us offer up the sacrifices of thanksgiving!I remember back in my renewal church days in the UK, where anyone could do anything in the meeting if so led. A lady started up a simple chorus "Thankyou thankyou Jesus, Thankyou thankyou Jesus, Thankyou thankyou Jesus from my heart, Thankyou thankyou Jesus, Thankyou thankyou Jesus, Thankyou thankyou Jesus from my heart. It was the first time we had sung it. An hour later we stopped singing it. The meeting ended up in high heaven.
Looks delicious. We don't have that here. This is my current desert of choice:

Hell will be filled with those who don't believe in Hell.Amen!!!
I am conversant with the phenomenon of Hillsong and the various criticism leveled at it so I thought it might be an idea to start a thread about Hillsong and ask people to post actual evidence (not their ideas or prejudices) to get a perspective on the movement.
I do not want hearsay or theories, but actual evidence such as things you have experienced, seen, or been told by someone who attends Hillsong or has attended Hillsong.
I will start the ball rolling...
Judging by the studies I have done about cults, I believe that Hillsong is a cult.
A cult revolves around one person.
You are not allowed to make any criticism of the cult leader or the senior leaders.
The leaders always do what the cult leader says.
The cult leader is beyond reproach.
You cannot speak to the cult leader. You have to talk to underlings even if they are young enough to be your grandson.
It is not your ministry that promotes you. It is your allegiance to the cult leader.
The women in leadership are beyond reproach and cannot be questioned even if they preach things contrary to the Word of God, (which they often do).
What the cult leader preaches is always right.
There is no freedom to believe the truth.
Apart from my studies, I have been a member of two cults which I did not realize they were until I had joined them. After I had joined them and started seeing a trend I left. One voluntary and the other by secular law when the church had me banned because I questioned what a female leader said because it was complete balderdash.
This church employed an enforcer to remove people that did not submit to their authority. They threatened physical abuse and or calling the police to have me removed from the meeting.
