Hoopla carries the audiobook format of this book title. I was wondering if anyone knows of this title? Or the author?

It looks to be similar to the book, the Bible code. I'm fascinated but don't want to invest time listening to this audiobook if the author is not a reliable source for Bible study of this type.

Thanks to anyone who might offer any help with this.

I think Chuck's Bible studies are excellent. Chuck Missler was the Founder of Koinonia House and Koinonia Institute. Chuck passed away on May 1st, 2018.

The book is available from the Koinonia House website for $5,95, as an ebook download for $0.99 or as an audio download for $6.95 - see Hidden Treasures in the Biblical Text. In fact there's currently a bit of a sale so you can download the audio for $4.95 from Hidden Treasures in the Biblical Text, or the video download for $7.95 or DVD for $9.95. I've seen and very much enjoyed his seminar on this subject shown on TV by the God Channel.

Read and study the bible only and not supplemental books or writings that are most likely biased, especially one written by someone that doesn't know how souls are saved according to scripture.

I'm not sure if I've read that one or not, but I've always liked Missler.

I would be extraordinarily cautious of books that speak of secret bible codes. It is hard enough to live the plain word of God without seeking hidden meanings and reading between the lines which involves massive amounts of subjectivity for a very objective book.

As I implied, missler doesn't know how to save someone's soul. I don't like him or others like him. Stick to the bible and forget these fools

So, we shouldn't read any books but the bible?

Why? Cuz it's true. I've read what he believes. And his doctrine doesn't save souls.
Only the doctrine of Jesus saves souls.

After reading your post I checked your opinion against what I found at Koinonia House.

I don't think you're being fair to what Chuck Miser actually taught.

Fair? It has nothing to do with fair, just truth. He was affiliated with Calvary church which believes and teaches faith by grace saves. Thst is unscriptural and doesn't in and of itself save souls. It takes more than just faith. It also takes repentance and baptism.

What exactly is "the doctrine of Jesus that saves souls"? Can you define that in specific terms? What was the doctrine of Jesus taught to the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8, and to the Jews on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2?

Lol! You definitely never heard his material on this topic.
The hidden nessage in Genesis 5 doesnt take one whit of subjectivity!

It takes either a knowledge of the Hebrew language, or the software for the Hebrew language which is readily available and free

Are you suggesting that a bunch of rabbis conspired to hide a summation Jesus's Gospel message through codifying it in Genesis 5?

All of the names listed in Genesis 5 have Hebrew meanings. Look up all the meanings of the names in order and write them down. Then you have an objective sumation of the Gospel message!

Subjectivity! Pffft! EVery bit of bible codes is very objective, so you have voiced an opinion only.

There's another summation in the one verse of John 3:16 It's the same thing.

Did I misunderstand the verse or do you call it a lie?

You must also add repentance and baptism to the equation in conjunction with belief and faith

I didnt ask if it needs anything else added unto us.

Does John 3:16 stand alone as truth or not?

The thief on the cross wasnt baptised. So did He get to go with Jesus to paradise or not?

That is one verse; do you ignore all the others that add more to what is necessary? You must take all scripture into consideration to come up with all the requirements not just one verse. What about this one? Do you not believe this in Jesus own words?

Mark 16: 15-16

15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

You don't understand the thief on the cross. I've corrected many people on this topic. Simply put, Jesus was still alive when he forgave the thief on the cross and made the promise to him, meaning it was done while the OT was still in effect. Baptism into Christ for the remission of sins didn't become a requirement until Jesus was dead and the NT was in effect. Read Hebrews 9

Hebrews 9:15-16
15And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. 16For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
