As you said, Darwin did believe in the Creator and he gave a theory about how He might have done it. I think that Christians who believe in evolution plus Bible are closer in a sense to Darwin than they are to modern atheistic evolutionists who will not consider any kind of creation by a Creator.

Disobedience to God's commands. The first two humans God granted immortal souls disobeyed him, becoming like Him in knowing good and evil, but unable to be truly good. That required a Redeemer, who would take on the consequences of our sins, and through Him, give us a path to salvation and fellowship with God.
