Hello, AlsoAnne, welcome to the forum. Growing in faith is a good thing to desire...our faith grows when we put it to the test.
Thanks. In truth my faith has been tested and I have been struggling and failing.
I righteous man/woman may fall seven times but he will rise again.
Do you know that when trials and tribulations come....and they will...that this is when you are growing in faith....it works patience in us....when I was young I didn't have any mentor in my life to help guide me...and when I would go through a severe tragedy I would run away from God instead of run to Him.
It took 40 years for me to learn to run to Him during my times of trials and tribulation instead of from Him.
And where did I run in the past when I ran from Him? Into the world....drugs, alcohol...and always, always it ended up worse...and I would run back to Him crying.
I hope you can learn to run to Him...He is a good good Father.

Most sin is willful...forgive yourself...if you have repented and asked forgiveness it's in the sea of forgetfulness...covered by the blood of Jesus.
Sounds like me. I ran to different things but aren't they all drugs and idols? I am desperate for a mentor. Praying God sets us in a godly church with older women eager to mentor.

I love reading testimonies. Thank you for sharing. The desire for a loving Father draws me as well. I hate how sin gets in the way, but that makes Christ all the more precious. Just understanding God is overwhelming and something I'm growing in.

Unfortunately, we all fail, every day. Few sins are committed without our willfulness. So, again, you are just like the rest of us.
