Drooling syrup telling your pals all Sabbath believing ‘Christians’ are hypocritesHullo post.
There is an analogy between the congregation in the wilderness being doubly provided for and gathering twice as much manna on the day before the Sabbath when work was prohibited.
By example we will be wise stewards of what God provides, being diligent to rest in Christ, knowing that under the NT He sustains us, having satisfied and fulfilled the requirements of the OT Law.
Ouright LIE
Bless you. Go in peace.Drooling syrup telling your pals all Sabbath believing ‘Christians’ are hypocrites
God never commanded anyone to keep a sabbath command, until He gave it to Israel, as a memorial of remembrance of being set free from Egyptian slavery, after their Exodus, and as a covenant sign between the nation of Israel, and Himself:Ziggy, you are a believer of God's Seventh Day of the week Sabbath DAY? So am I. Now imagine a Sunday or 7/7 24/24 enthusiast using the above your own 'argument' against you and the Sabbath of the Lord. It usually goes like this, God GAVE the Sabbath to the ISRAELITES only, not to Christians. His whole argument is built on the word 'gave' he invariably will employ to counter the Sabbath's validity for God's People other than Jews, us, Christians. Are you going to give the man any credit? Or are you going to grind him? Therefore I must and will be consistent AGAINST the same argument, whether used by a hypocrite or by a sincere but nevertheless mistaken believer.
God created a day, individual seperate unlike the other, for himself to rest in from all his works.Ziggy, you are a believer of God's Seventh Day of the week Sabbath DAY? So am I. You're right, God never commanded anyone to keep the Sabbath, not until He had shown MERCY to Adam and Eve, and again not until God had brought his People out of bondage on occasion of the Passover of Yahweh.
You're right, of course, according to God's Eternal Purpose in Jesus Christ.
And don't you forget it.
Two scriptures cut to the chase about not having to keep the 7th day sabbath:
Gal 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
Gal 4:10 Ye observe DAYS and months, and times, and years.
Gal 4:11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.
“Sabbaths, new moons, and set feasts” answer to “days, months, times.” 1Chronicles 23:31 ;
1 Chronicles 23:31 (KJV)
The word sabbaths is word H7676 in Hebrew:
H7676 (Strong)
שַׁבָּת
shabbâth
shab-bawth'
Intensive from H7673; intermission, that is, (specifically) the Sabbath: - (+ every) sabbath.
Total KJV occurrences: 111
Thus Galatians 4:9-11 is talking about sabbaths that includes the weekly sabbaths.
Next:
Col 2:16 Let NO MAN therefore JUDGE YOU in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the SABBATH days:
Col 2:17 Which are a SHADOW of things to come; but the BODY isof Christ.
The word sabbath above, is H4521 in Strongs:
G4521 (Strong)
σάββατον
sabbaton
sab'-bat-on
Of Hebrew origin [H7676]; the Sabbath(that is, Shabbath), or day of WEEKLY reposefrom secular avocations (also the observance or institution itself); by extension a se'nnight, that is, the interval between two Sabbaths; likewise the plural in all the above applications: - SABBATH (DAY), week.
Total KJV occurrences: 68
Therefore the sabbath in Colossians 2:16-17 definitely is the weekly, 7th day sabbath.
Colossians 2:16-17 states to let no one judge you for not keeping the sabbath day, because it’s a shadow of Jesus, (who’s the real rest for us Matthew 11:28-29 - every day we rest in Him, and no longer on a ceremonial day).
I’d rather have the real sabbath (sabbath just means REST), and not the shadow.
God never commanded anyone to keep a sabbath command, until He gave it to Israel, as a memorial of remembrance of being set free from Egyptian slavery, after their Exodus, and as a covenant sign between the nation of Israel, and Himself:
Deu 5:15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and Jehovah thy God brought thee out thence by a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm: therefore Jehovah thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day
REMEMBER that YOU (Israel) were slaves in Egypt and I took you out with a mighty hand. THEREFORE (because of your deliverance from Egyptian slavery) I gave YOU (the nation of Israel) this sabbath day command.
That wouldn’t be much of a memorial of remembrance and a covenant sign - as God calls the sabbath day command in Exodus 31:13 - to give them a command that was kept since the 6th day of creation, now would it?
(Exo 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily ye shall keep my sabbaths: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am Jehovah who sanctifieth you.)
In fact Moses refutes the claim that any of their ancestors had the sabbath day command, when he was about to give Israel the covenant law God gave to them, which includes the Decalogue:
Note the chapter heading in the Bible for this passage:
The Ten Commandments.
Deu 5:1 And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the ordinances which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and observe to do them.
Deu 5:2 Jehovah our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
Deu 5:3 Jehovah made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us,even us, who are all of us here alive this day.
No one had the covenant law and ten commands until Moses received them, after the Exodus from Egypt.
In fact Paul wrote that the law was given 430 years after Abraham- and not at the seventh day of creation - but 4.3 centuries after Abraham.
Here’s the fact that the sabbath day command is a covenant sign only between God and the nation of Israel:
Exo 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily ye shall keep my sabbaths: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am Jehovah who sanctifieth you.

That’s not what scholarship actually says - the entire book of Galatians was written to those wanting to remain under tha law of Moses. The Galatians - heathen and pagan, "formerly superstiously by observation worshipped days"[*] the chief and queen of was the Day-of-the-lord-SUN. The Christian Church CONTINUES DOING this "WILL-WORSHIP" the same as "before" and more arrogantly then ever.
Pour out your ignorance and return to eat it from the floor like a beast.
THE STRONG'S BETTER THAN CHRIST'S COVENANT
THE STRONG'S OTHER GOSPEL
Pagans didn’t keep the law of Moses, which is mentioned all through Galatians.
