This has nothing to do with the subject under discussion. But since you ask, it is all about the finished work of Christ. The field is the world and the treasure is the saints of God. The Church is the purchased possession of Christ, and Christ gave His life and shed His blood for it.

You asked about treasure. liken it to Adam and Eve hiding and listening to the voice that told them to hide, instead of trusting Gods voice (much rather be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live). in coming forth that their deeds be made known (Which God already knew)and the devils works (done in secret) be destroyed. not cover it up as you say often “here have a skin” if anything: here have praise unto God: the Son of God made manifest that the works of the devil be destroyed, praise unto God who brings hidden things out into the light that the works of death be destroyed. Isaiah 45:3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

iow it is tempting to try to examine the "treasure" in the parable, or the field, or etc, but the parable is about the kingdom, yes? "The kingdom is like ________."
So iow everything that comes after that should imo be considered in that frame?

not disagreeing, but imo diff subject entirely, now we are dissecting this "treasure" when i would say at least initially the treasure should just stay treasure, and the field should just be a field, and "the kingdom of heaven is like" should be the subject, rather than the elements in it? Not that theres anything wrong with examining the elements, dont get me wrong...but i am not able to liken the treasure in the parable to A&E hiding...although maybe, ill have to marinate on that one a bit, brb later then :) might be a great analogy! dunno. It might never speak to me, yet still be relevant in someone else's opinion, too!

Still can’t get past The Who abides alone in the Light. So I have a random question, yet maybe not random. In the above, in context, there is a contrast between “don’t come near me...stand there by yourself...for I am holier than you “ and “they remain in graves, lodged in monuments”. Why is the lodged in monuments important...I don’t know. Except it makes me consider those that lodged in the high branches and under the shadow and this: Isaiah 1:21 How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.

That you for some reason cant get past, then you ref "the above" and im not sure if you mean that or the Isaiah vv, which ill assume the latter but then why invoke the Yah v? and bro go get a trace metals test, and if you arent deficient in every single one ill pay for it ok. It is often diagnosed as "add" or some whatever madeup variant now, adhd whatever, but that is all crap, its always, always, always either chronic deficiencies or chronic toxins, and all the mental bouncing around is almost always trace metal deficiency. i would say no, since they were still responding pertinently--if in a biased manner, but that is to be expected right--they were not in Sheol yet, like...oh, many here, basically those whose beliefs are now Absolute Truths, Institutions, yeh? Or what was the term...monuments. Which btw there is an interesting play on words there in the forms of grave and monuments ("headstones," but something about the head itself being invoked, i forget) but anyway, i could name several and give Acriptural support, but no one here wants that much...so like, "sacred cows" even, for me worshipping our High Priest comes to mind, or would be an indicator of that...or at east arguing about our relationship as Priests in that context sure would?

while being told it will also kill them? huh? "The light" is not "the kingdom," im pretty sure, at least not in those (differing, imo) contexts. And unapproachable does not mean "kill them" necessarily, although we do asssume that from other vv, the Moses thing etc. So, imo sometimes interesting and even quite esoteric connections can be made, but i wouldnt try to manufacture them ok, they should imo just kinda appear all by themselves, become apparent? Just my opinion though

well, just one, kinda, when you start reading from a Lex or Interlinear. Removes the middleman, more or less, the scribe. you get to assemble the definition of a term yourself
