Amillennialism teaches that the church is the spiritual Israel of God and is a distinct entity from the nation of Israel (Romans 9:6-8).
So, the question I have for those who think Amill teaches "replacement theology", tell me what that means exactly. Who do we have being replaced and who replaces them?
We believe that the new covenant replaced the old covenant because scripture clearly teaches that (Hebrews 8:6-13, Hebrews 10:1-10). But, I know that is not what you mean when you say we believe in "replacement theology". What people normally mean when they refer to "replacement theology" is that it refers to the belief that the church replaces Israel. But, that's not what Amillennialism teaches. It teaches that the church is the Israel of God (Galatians 6:15-16) and is distinct from the nation of Israel and does not replace it. Gentile believers are brought into the church and are joined together as one body with Jewish believers and no one is replaced (Ephesians 2:11-22).
