(I should add, there are middle grounds with many things of course, this is just about ideas that actually contradict, and people combine into doctrine, using mental gymnastics and spiritualization to justify.)

I like to focus on things Jesus and God are directly quoted as saying. If a doctrine contradicts anything God or Jesus said, then it's out.
