“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”

Its good to pray. However its not good if you get upset cause God doesnt give you what you want.
Remeber when Jacob? Got his hip broken when he wrestled with God?
Somethings prayed about when it comes to healing doesnt mean you dont go to the doctor…
Cause then you might just continue to get sick and die…
Sure you can have faith God may heal you; but that doesnt mean its gonna be true either.
Thats why its important to be mature, in Christ and relaize doctors exist for a reason. And sometimes though even doctors can do a bad job, its all about trusting God through whatever happens no matter what… but be wise enough to go seek for a docters help if you need it.
Im glad Paul wrote this to timothy above, but im also glad what james wrote too.
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”

Good wisdom to remember.
“Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.”

“Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.””

Some people who have “faith healed” could be caught in being proud, while im not saying God cant heal people, those who act like they do and others are only supplmented for a moment with an ease of pain due to a dopamine rush or something and they only feel better for a short period of time is a scam, and a lie.
The greatest healing is one of the heart in my opinion, blessedpeace.
What should someone do in the face of praying in Jesus name and they are not healed as far some ailment?
Some people can get frustrated and upset and fall away from faith or even trusting God, therefore how does one reason, with this being a reality?
Its not about doubting Jesus; its about reality…
When Jesus ask pray about anything his name it always pertains to Gods will; and he specifically told his chosen aposltes these things when he taught them to pray (in the totality of context as the reference point.)
He never tells (us) specifically; that would be a lie.
““Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

Jesus Calls Twelve Followers and Sends Them Out
10 Jesus called His twelve followers to Him. He gave them power to put out demons and to heal all kinds of sickness and disease. 2 These are the names of the twelve followers. There were Simon who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John who were the sons of Zebedee. 3 There were Philip and Bartholomew and Thomas. There was Matthew, the man who gathered taxes. There were James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeaus, and 4 Simon the Canaanite. There was Judas Iscariot who handed Jesus over to be killed.
What about those who ask “in Jesus name” who do not experience a healing? How demoralizing for them that God has rejected their request.Jesus tells us, anything we ask in his name he shall do it. Prayers for healing most always close with, in Jesus name we ask this.
There is something called the “placebo effect” which science cannot explain but it is not just experienced by believers….atheists can also experience the placebo effect….it is a seeming cure simply because one “believes” it can happen…..it is the power of the mind over the body. It is the reason why there are double blind studies done to determine the efficacy of drugs that they are trialing. Some who are given placebos have amazing results, oftentimes better than the drug they believe they are taking. Those so affected often ask to continue the ‘sugar pills’ as they are feeling so much better.I've known those healed by faith. So, I think the skeptics, like the OP, would have to prove Jesus no longer heals when we ask it in his name.
Is there anything you believe in the Bible??? No doubt you pick a few verses you like. All people can truly do is debate about it in the end, I suppose. I personally do not believe in faith healing today, though I do believe that having faith and looking towards God and having a relationship with fellowshipping with the Father and Son, there is the healing of the damaged soul.

I think anyone who has experienced miraculous healing, even by medical standards, know faith healing is real. What about those who ask “in Jesus name” who do not experience a healing? How demoralizing for them that God has rejected their request.

There is more than one explanation for the “success” that appears to be happening in faith healing sessions.
Yet, often people will wake up the next morning and the “miracle “ has worn off…what then? The healing never depended on the faith of the individual….but on the faith of the healer.
If Paul said that the miracles would cease, then the reason why they were given had succeeded and they were no longer necessary. They were originally provided to show the Jews that God’s favor now rested with the disciples of Christ….yet the healings were always performed on unbelievers to bring them to Christ….never to to those who were already believers…….
Paul showed that only spiritual infants need miracles in order to “believe”….these traits of spiritual infancy had to give way to the more important and mature components of Christianity…..”faith, hope and love”. (1 Cor 13:8-13)
