I suppose, depending on where the tattoo is placed. It might be impossible to conceal a tattoo(s) from weak brethren if it’s on your forehead/neck or hands.

@Michiah-Imla Arm and wrist are popular placements for faith based designs; sometimes for something small and simple.

Its widespread, anyway. FHII said this, back a bit:

I got my first and only tattoo when I was 25. I was told it was addictive, but for me it was not. .. I don't regret it as it was a sign of my youth as a child and as a young adult. .. Have I thought about getting more tattooed? Sure. But I don't feel as compelled as I did. How about a Christian themed tattoo? Yea... Thought about it and have a great idea for one. But its not going to increase my spirituality. ..Probably 75% of the congregation have tattoos, including myself and the Pastor

For not a few Christians it seems that how to get inked up is more the question than whether to get inked up.

@Not me From back, although the saying is, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, for not a few Christians, rather than about aesthetics, it's possibly also about going ahead and using an effective conversation starter in witness.

For whatever reason, it's undeniable very widespread. FHII said:

What confuses me with all the tattooing used to "witness" is...what's wrong with a T-Shirt?? Nobody will miss that!

@Michiah-Imla I guess an operative principle here, in terms of a witness tool would be as in 1 Peter 3.15: "be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear", if you follow?

I watched the video. I enjoyed watching the process from design to finish.
Brought back a lot of memories :)

@Michiah-Imla I guess an operative principle here, in terms of a witness tool would be as in 1 Peter 3.15: "be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear", if you follow?

As in, if someone see’s a faith based tattoo on another, they might ask them about it? And the tattoo’d person should be ready to answer why they have the mark?

Still, some would not approach because of the tattoo itself.

@Michiah-Imla You mean, like, some ppl tend to view a tattoo as a wall of privacy around a person, whether or not the onlooker thinks it's interesting?

I guess for the wearer, like you say, being ready for ppl to ask him or her about it, is an important aspect of a faith based tattoo as a witness tool.

I met my first husband when I was 18. He worked in the bindery or finishing department.
I was asked to help do some handwork like collating on the weekends.
Years later we entered a partnership with 6 others and opened our own shop.
I was there for 10 years. We just went through new management, (I had retired previously and just became an employee)
and the people who were now in charge didn't like me very much.
They hired a man who was the production manager, and I didn't feel he had a clue about how things worked with scheduling.
I been doing this a long time. I knew how long for this and that and he didn't like my advice.
Not long after they had a vote to "let me go" . It passed 100%
My Husband was on that board as well.
I moved on, got a new life, worked in other printing companies, until I found my 2nd husband which is a truck driver.

But the memories of the job itself, even with those obstacles, are still rather bitter-sweet.
Kind of like that dark chocolate.
I can only eat a little of those "Special" candy bars.

With the slow motion tattoo process video I uploaded I guess I was thinking more of whether you liked the memories of the tattoo, which I assumed you were referring to...
