When I got up this morning, I felt rather empty. The Lord seemed distant, not friendly.

It occurred to me, then, maybe that's how the Lord feels when we don't treat him right.

Sometimes, we are just a prayer away from restoration. David used to say, "Restore my soul O Lord. And The Lord was faithful to do that.

I think Paul's advice is very helpful: Pray constantly. (1 Thess 5:17 RSV)

Why was this a problem?
You know that your salvation, your relationship with Jesus does not depend on your feelings.
Jesus promised never to leave us, so trust his promises not your feelings.

I think everyone goes through this. At times we feel closer to God, and at times it feels like God is more distant. There are seasons in life, and sometimes we go through dry spells.

"Who knows which way the wind blows".....???

So, Those are just your "feelings". and feelings are "here today, gone tomorrow".

What we know about Lovely Jesus, is that "there is a Friend who sticks closer than a Brother."

I think we can assume the Lord has feelings.
