No, I don’t drive. I did take lessons years ago but hated it and figured I would be a danger to other drivers ! Lol
Thankfully I live in a city with a very good bus service xx

It’s quite a cultural diverse city but I often Wonder why it is so popular. The beaches are pebbles, there are other places that have lovely Sandy beaches. The South Downs are beautiful though

The people who taught me to drive caused me to have driving anxiety. I was fine before I was in the car with them.

My drivers ed teacher didn't speak English very clearly, but she did yell a lot.

I didn't have a lot of family support around when I was younger, because I left home very early.

Now, I bought a vehicle. I just don't drive it myself. It's been too long, but I would like to learn again when it is safe to do so.

My ex taught me to drive, he was excellent , on saying that,I had lessons previous to him teaching me, by a qualified instructor.

My Sister in law was taught by my Brother, who apparently yelled and screamed at her ,she gave up , and never went with a driving instructor...

I understand driving anxiety...hope you take driving up again, make sure you go with a qualified instructor.

Problem here is, it’s extremely expensive to be taught in the U.K.whats the price an hour where you live?

I must say I get bored of having to drive to places,I often take the bus as I have a free bus pass...plus I’ve gotten to know some lovely peeps on the buses.

I'm not sure how much it is here, but I would let Mr. Duck teach me. He gives me zero anxiety and knows how to make everything fun.

This guy dances to his alarm clock at 5 o'clock in the morning. Literally. Lol

Couldn't wait to turn 16! Got my permit and very shortly after got my license. I'll even take my car instead of going somewhere with another as I would most likely be leaving early and if I did not have my car, I'm stuck until the driver is ready to leave. I find driving to be freedom! :)

I made a mistake once . My wife and I had been married maybe a year , I went and bought a used car mainly for her use without involving her in the decision . Problem was is was four speed floor shift , she did not know how to drive straight shift :grimacing: . I did teach her how to drive the stick but the car was never her favorite to say the least .

No idea what four speed floor shift means?

I have a 5 gear car, fifth is really for motorways..I hate driving on motorways, plus I don’t have a Sat nav, do you have one?

I have a tiny Toyota Aygo...my Son has a BMW it’s like driving a tank, LOL.

Is your car an automatic?

I don’t understand those cars with gear stick on the steering will either, do you?

Yes, I drive a car, it’s a 2010 model Kia and it has 308,000 miles on it. For the past 8 years. I’ve also invested in an electric bicycle it has 315 miles on it, and use it to get back and forth to work, @Ritajanice. I didn’t get my drivers license until I was 25 years old.

I drive an old pickup truck with a 5 speed manual transmission that I drive like a 3 speed, lol. 5th gear is a highway gear and I don't use the highway very much and 1st gear is really too low for around town, it's for big hills with a heavy load that I don't use.

@Ritajanice…got my license at 17, was a natural born driver and have loved driving all my life.
I never lived in a big city where public transport was a viable alternative. Always hated busses and trains and the time wasted waiting for them. In my seventies now, and still drive everywhere myself. If you don’t have a car where I live, you pretty much don’t go anywhere….public transport is not real good outside of the metro.

When I owned a car (automatic), that stick on the steering wheel just let you shift from park to drive or reverse. Once you are in drive, you don't need to do anything... unless you want to reverse.

I own a truck ( 2012 4x4 z71 ) and a 2016 ecoline van 150 ). I want a 4x4 e250 with a slight lift to use as a camping off road van. I’m in Alabama but sometimes I drive to Washington or into Mexico or Canada and will spend 2-4 weeks living out of it and camping to hike places and etc.
