Hello brethren! If I may, I would like to open this new thread for those who experience doubt about their salvation, to test ones faith, and to ask questions, and to know the truth.

I understand. Do you sometimes experience doubt as well? Like the thought of dying and then realizing you're not saved and it's now too late because it's forever?I personally don't say that I'm saved or tell people I'm saved. God is the judge and he will decide that. Lately I have received encouragement from God about my salvation which has been relieving.
Yes. With my method of thinking I will only know I'm saved after death. So I do have doubts. But I am mentally ill and probably shouldn't be too tough on myself.I understand. Acts 2Like the thought of dying and then realizing you're not saved and it's now too late because it's forever?
Thanks Adam. That is encouraging. I guess I read all the scriptures that say sinners are damned. But there are also stories of sinners being saved too.1 Corinthians 3:15
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
1 Corinthians 3:15
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Luke 3Thanks Adam. That is encouraging. I guess I read all the scriptures that say sinners are damned. But there are also stories of sinners being saved too.
I used to not recognize the fruit of the spirit in my life. It made me doubt if I was saved. I don't think doubting your salvation is always this horrible thing. It can help you adjust your walk with the Lord. The Bible says we should examine ourselves to see if were truly in the faith. I see nothing wrong with that.
Here is the full context:Hi Adam:
One thing we must always do is look at the context. This passage is talking about ministers and the doctrines they may create. If they are wrong and teach an error, the error will burn, but if they are not completely a false teacher, they will be saved, but receive a stronger judgment as James 3:1 says. It is NOT talking about outright sin. Sinners do not go to heaven, that is why Jesus came to take away our sin. Read my longer post above.
So what do you think it is that will be burned? Here is the full context:
1 Corinthians 3
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
Verse 16 tells you exactly what he is talking about
The heartSo what do you think it is that will be burned?
So you believe our conscience is destroyed? We can sin our heads off?The heart
Proverbs 17
3 The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the Lord trieth the hearts.
Isaiah 48
10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
No, the conscience isn't destroyed, it is restored. You can indeed sin your head off but the result is that you experience all the pain you had inflicted onto others. So if that sounds like a good time to you then go ahead. You won't be tortured forever, only in proportion to what you have done.So you believe our conscience is destroyed? We can sin our heads off?
That's pretty much how I read it too. It talks about not getting out of hell until you've paid the farthest penny. No, the conscience isn't destroyed, it is restored. You can indeed sin your head off but the result is that you experience all the pain you had inflicted onto others. So if that sounds like a good time to you then go ahead. You won't be tortured forever, only in proportion to what you have done.
Genesis 9:6
6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
Exodus 21
24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.
Matthew 25
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
I asked you what is destroyed, and you said without further explanation: the heart. No, the conscience isn't destroyed, it is restored.
