I have been coming across a certain line of thought, in which, it is said that there was only one gospel, but refined to accommodate the understanding of Gentiles etc.
This is subtle erosion of the fact that there is more than one gospel as it particularly pertains to the gospels preached by Peter and Paul.
The gospels preached by Peter and Paul are clearly understood in scripture.
To make the entirely different gospel message of Paul the same as Peter could not be construed as refining them for Gentiles, but rather, a subtle means of making them the same when they are not. It would result in saying although they read differently, they really mean the same.
