Once upon a time. I wish her well. It was almost 30 years ago now.

Do not mean to make fun of divorce. Was a child of it and later a 'victim' and perp of it myself. Anybody who has had to endure that I pray for your peace and recovery. God actually sent warnings through people for me to not go through with it, but I knew better! Then once married, I understood it to be God's will at that point. So I stuck it out as best as I could. I think the native Americans have just as much cause to feel aggrieved. For very good reason. I know that some have received compensation just as Maori have in New Zealand, and some Aborigines in Australia, but there are many who complain about that issue on both sides. On the native side, the compensation is never enough; and they're right. The value of the land far outstrips anything the governments could even come close to offering...in NZ the land unlawfully confiscated would be worth billions today. Much of it was turned into government owned land now set aside as conservation land...with full agreement with the former owners. The rest is now in private hands...some has been returned, some has Auckland built on it. And other cities. There will never be any justice for those who have lost their culture and land...until God intervenes.
Then on those unaffected by the theft today, they complain that they're hard earned tax money shouldn't be passed on to people who are several generations away from the initial act. However, I would ask a question. If your grandfather's new car was stolen, and 100 years later you discovered it a local museum, would you not have the right to claim it back on behalf of the family? Even more so with land surely that was communally owned, was their home, and the source of food, recreation, and the heritage of over 1000 years?

Do the blacks have a right to hold a grudge for what was done to their enslaved ancestors? Let me say I have never suffered racism so maybe I don’t know. Maybe when they say they are always a target, maybe they are. But it is the mentality that “since my ancestors where treated so poorly,

I agree that forgiveness is the only way to freedom from revenge...grudges...resentment. That doesn't mean that the present day black folk do not have a very good reason to feel aggrieved on behalf of their forbears. That they forgive at all is a miracle...it is by virtue of the grace of God within them...who are we to demand they forgive? Most aren't Christians. Many of course are...and they have trouble enough with forgiveness let alone their non-Christian brothers and sisters.

I was using your thread to bounce into a parallel issue, that being exegesis....conclusions drawn from a flawed understanding of prophecy/scripture.

In the later chapters of Revelation we see God vindicated by all the heavenly host, ie all those who have watched the drama unfold from before the expulsion of Lucifer from heaven through the millennia of earths history.
