For someone who constantly and correctly advocates for scripture alone, you stance surprises me. Particularly as that belief... Disembodied souls in heaven... As for Acts of the Apostles 27:34, "pray" is just another word for advise, urge, beg, exhort, beseech, all of which are used in other bible versions.
