Take 2 tall mountain peaks, one behind the other. From a distance it seems the two are close enough to each other as to be touching. But actually, between the two is a long valley, maybe 50 miles in distance.

The old testament wrters only saw the 2 peaks close together. They saw only Christ's birth and then later the tribulation,(Day of the Lord). The Church age was hid from them,a mystery, they didnt know Christ would first call out a body of believers called the Church and then rapture them out before dealing with Israel in the tribulation.

Such are the times of this world. Indeed, if we want to know better than we ought to know this world, we will get down in the valleys and explore the ages of detail until our own time too fades into the sunset. But that is just this world, and not the kingdom of God.

Why then focus on the things and times of this world? Surely, we are better to seek the kingdom of God first and having these things added to us...rather than thinking the other way around will at all come around to the same truth. It does not, but ends in death. We know this, or so we have been told...and yet here we are looking at it all backwards.

Has Solomon not already determined it all to be futile vanity? Perhaps it is however all worthy of study for a time. Perhaps?

But, no, "seek first the kingdom of God and these things shall be added to you."
