Greetings Bob,
Are you all going to come to church this Sunday to see Linda Young and me perform this song?
The words may be good, but you seem to drown out Linda, and I prefer the violin and other more subdued musical instruments. The music in our meeting is more reserved and usually normal hymns and anthems. These seem to be more appropriate to worship.

Kind regards
Trevor

Lane Cameron, who recorded the song, Linda, and I sat and listened to the song while it was being mixed and no one had any complaints. You don't want the harmony to drown out the lead. I enjoy both violin and acoustic guitar. Remember this:

O sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all the earth! Psalm 96:1 RSV

I did make an effort as we were performing this song at church this morning at both services to allow a balance between Linda's harmony and my lead. Or perhaps more important, I tried to make sure my guitar wasn't too loud when we were singing. We had a piano player join us for the song (along with the bass guitar player from the CD).

Too far out of my neighborhood to catch the live show lol. Do you do any cover songs?

I heard an acoustic version of Jesus is Just Alright by the Doobie Brothers and it sounded great! Got any bongos for the intro?

Linda and I do a few covers, but we haven't recorded any. It would require figuring out who to pay for using other people's songs, plus making a CD is rather expensive.
