i amost thought it was the roman catholic church when i see the pope look a like .Maybe our UK members can give some more input on this.
And is the Archbishop mentioned "Woke"?
Our dear sister knows about this stuff . the church down the road IS HUGE on all inclusive . andMaybe our UK members can give some more input on this.

Certainly there were true believers then. I remember William Wilberforce, a devout Christian, who fought against the British slave trade. He also cared for and helped animals. It was normal in Victorian times for people to go , it wasn’t based on faith. It became a tradition.
Buy a Kindle case that says Holy Bible on it. Problem solved. People want to be at church, but don't want to be seen as "religious". Carrying a bible advertises that. That what the Apostle Paul was saying. Romans 1:16I must admit I don’t carry a Bible with me if I go away ect, I have a couple on my kindle. It’s not about being ashamed, it’s Just about having access to the word in different formats.
Personally I am not a fan of the old churches ( buildings ) to me they were places people went because they felt they had to go to on a Sunday ( it didn’t really matter how they lived their lives outside of that day ) It was normal in Victorian times for people to go , it wasn’t based on faith. It became a tradition.
I was made to go to church when I was younger, because I was part of the girl guides and brownies - the rest of my family only went for weddings and funerals.
Just because someone uses a kindle doesn’t mean that conversations or other prompts do not happen, are we not guided by the Holy Spirit ?Buy a Kindle case that says Holy Bible on it. Problem solved. I carry a bible everywhere, and there is one visible in my car, I have a checkbook sized one that fits in my back pocket. You never know when you will see someone hurting and needs the life-giving words of Christ. I can't see opening a Kindle and waiting for it to boot up, or reading on my phone, or using an iPad to talk to a grieving person.
Paul carried parchments to read the scriptures to people.Just because someone uses a kindle doesn’t mean that conversations or other prompts do not happen, are we not guided by the Holy Spirit ?
I don’t recall Paul pulling out a Bible on his travels - he spoke and wrote letters.
To presume that anyone is ashamed of being a Christian just because they happen to use a kindle from time to time is perhaps making a judgement based on what you think you know, rather than on fact.
Notice that he says ‘ bring the parchments and the books ‘ so Paul did not have them With him all the time. Of course Paul had scripture ( Torah ) He also would have memorised many things, but he often spoke to the people he encountered.Paul carried parchments to read the scriptures to people.
2 Timothy 4:13 - Bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas when you come—and the books, especially the parchments.
I do believe the Holy Spirit can use anything, including a Kindle, to use in evangelizing. As a Christian you are an ambassador for Christ in this world. What does an ambassador do?
