Jesus' baptism was different from ours. He was sinless and although He carried our sins, those sins did not require to be forgiven or washed away. He had to endure and suffer for those sins!

no different it seems - according to Protestants He was sin from His mother's womb - He was a jew and just like Nicodemus needed to be born again as a Christian via water and spirit which He was[Matt 3:16-17] - twinc

Is that what Protestants think?

I think it is a different baptism because we are baptized into his death. I read somewhere that Jesus' water baptism was a necessary ritual for his preasthood to be legitimate.

It doesn't answer the question of why that baptism was necessary to fulfill all righteousness. It couldn't be the washing away of sin, because he never sinned. So what was Jesus lacking when he went into the water?

Jesus never sinned but He was made sin for us and Protestants believe that just like us being fully human He was sin from His mother's womb - Jesus was a jew and so like Nicodemus and other jews He had to be born again as a Christian via water and the spirit - twinc

There must not be consensus on this doctrine among the protestant denominations. I believe Jesus became sin for us on the cross, and not before.

Jesus was no exception even though he was conceived by the Holy Spirit?

You have some very strange ideas about Protestant beliefs.

I find it illogical that a Catholic can believe in the immaculate conception of Mary yet won't allow us to believe in the immaculate conception of Jesus.

Protestants don't believe that at all. Prove that statement.

I'm not even sure our other Catholic members on here would agree with this doctrine.

How could He have been a man "just like us"? He was born of a virgin!
some first born men would claim to be born of a virgin - twinc

twinc speaks for himself and doesn't give any justification for his opinions.
