I have a weird question. I lived in Houston in 2004-2006. There was a Christian radio show that talked about faith over works and offered a free book explaining true Christianity. I can’t remember the name of the book or the pastor. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

I did but wasn’t able to find it because I can’t recall name of the pastor nor the book. The details of my memory are too general. I am curious if someone with a better memory can help me.

Can you remember the name of the programme - if you do that may help. If I need to remember things I always pray and ask to bring it to my memory and he usually does. You could try that. I would love to know if you find it.

Hi brother, and welcome here. Do you remember if the book was titled either "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis? Or "Basic Christianity" by John Stott?

Problem is there are myriads of books dealing with faith over works. There needs to be more books on how good works are tied to faith.

The one that led me to Jesus was called 'Journey Into Life' - just a booklet really but I always keep one handy and ready to pass on as it changed my life. There's also one called 'Why Jesus'.
