Yes Don Bradman was Australia's best, as Mick Taylor pointed that out to that poor Pommy backpacker, I know Mick that Pommy got the last name wrong, it sounds much like Taylor but it's not. and I have pointed out that Ty Cobb is the best by far, no one comes close. Ty would put the ball off the bat into some ones face if he wanted to, he was that good, he put many people into Hospital as well in the game, they say that he would sharpen his spikes, well that's true. but he was attacked for XYZ and Babe Ruth was loved but TY only said of him, he could run ok for a fat man. they loved Ruth because he would hit the ball so far, Ty said his sister could hit the ball that far as well, and then Ty showed them the big hits as well.
Ty wipes the field with every Base Ball player ever and as to the way the game is played in the last 30 years or so it's not the same game at all to when TY was playing. as TY said you do not hold hands with the other team back in his day, they were the enemy, it was a red blooded sport.
Ty died back in 1961.
Ty accomplishments in the game exceed all others and as for his Business ability's he was the best in the world as well, he was on his way to being the richest man in the world.
The media and all paint him as a monster, but he fends them off as being brainless fools.
Ty was in the 1% club of the highest IQ.
He did not come across as a nice bloke, as he did not suffer fools, but he gave millions in helping people in so many ways, that no one can hold a candle to him. not to mention all of what he said is all true, he was so wise.

I have to admit, that made me laugh out loud. However, I hate to give up on anyone. I want all to receive, from me, a similar Grace and Forgiveness that our remarkable God has given to you and me. For it is God who first gave to us so that we might give to others.

Our environment has changed, in particular what our schools teach cos that can override what the parents teach...
Take me and my sister for example. Im older by 5 years... I left God when I was only 14 without any indoctrination from schools, i did that.
Do i blame my parents??? I did blame them at one time for things in my life... Then the Holy Spirit showed me how disgusting it is to hold resentment to anyone, especially my parents cos they did all they could for us. And so with a tearful apology and a request for forgiveness to both God and parents a huge weight was lifted off my myself. So im an example of parents doing what u said and me taking off regardless
My sister finished high school 5 years later and was a good girl, still sticking to our traditional values. Marxists hadn't yet entered our high schools. Then she went to university and got a bachelor of arts... By the time she finished school she had become an outspoken atheist challenging our parents and i on LGBT matters at the dinner table...
So shes an example of someone who was persuade to exchange her traditional values for leftist ones...
The post u replied to was more about how the introduction of Marxist ideas has infiltrated our schools to drive people away from our traditional values. Because its not only our parents that raised us, our schools did too... Especially now that they've forced mums to work (due to cost of living and low wages) while the child is in day care... And so even with good parents a young person can still fall away from God, with schools pushing as well we get larger numbers falling away each generation
Either way i refuse to blame my parents. They did everything for us and i love them dearly

Ye ok but... We're Aussies mate... Like most, i don't know much about baseball and i don't follow it so i wouldn't know...
But seeing were talking about fat baseball batsmen, there are many in MLB... Would u agree?
There a couple that play now but i can't remember their names... Latino's mainly
In cricket we also see that the fatman is a good batsman; Boon, Gatting, Lehmann, Ranatunga, to name a few.
So i had theorized that us chubby guys have sharp reflexes and good hand-eye co-ordination... LoL... ;)
And so im disappointed in modern cricket that the size of a man waist determines if you play or not... Its rubbish
That should have absolutely nothing to do with selection in cricket. Performance should be the only thing that matters...
As so, a result the fatman has disappeared from the game of cricket. The Aussie selectors are worried more about their image.

I only like bating, not standing around.
Your right about all that, fat etc and all, but it's big money that rules the day, look at our cheats they got away with it, my wife is into cricket and boy does she hate them for cheating, but I don't care it's only a game to me I do not look up to them and anyway they were gutless cowards when caught out, not a man among them.
What I have seen with all sports nowadays is that it's all rigged nowadays as there is too much money in it all.
Someone had a go about my uncle to do about horse racing, I turned to him and said you have no idea what the hell you are talking about, I would like to see him have a go in such a game, fact is that such a one would run for the hills in such fear that you would never see him again.

And what about drug cheats who smoke dope or some rubbish that has no bearing on being better off getting an advantage over the rest, when in fact they have only less a chance to win. such has nothing to do with cheating at all but you have a Nancy Pelosi on your hands ranting and raving so much nonsense yet the idiot has not a clue what the hell it's talking about.
But then you have a man claiming to be a woman in the games and go look at Pelosi, it's all ok. what a spastic.

In my opinion cricket Australia went overboard... Rubbing the ball with stuff isn't new and it certainly doesn't assure you victory either.
The ICC gave them a 3 match ban and Australia gave a 9 month ban. Thats harsh.
The thing about someone betting to hit a home run is that he might get the pitcher to put the ball nicely into his slot... I think something similar happened in Indian cricket. So i think its a fair rule that u can't bet on games you play in...
Some athletes have been suspended for betting on a match that didn't involve their team but its in the same league....
Harsh maybe but still fair enough i think cos i still know players and coaches and umpires in the league that u can try to influence
Recreational drugs. Diego Maradona came to mind, tested positive for cocaine in the 1994 world cup and was banned.
If a player wants to decrees his fitness level with drugs than so be it...
Men with dresses... Geez... What about in UFC... Its a fighting sport where nearly anything goes, in a cage. They let this man, Fallon Fox, compete against the women and he was smashing them so badly he even cracked one of their skulls... And when people started saying that perhaps this was unfair they would get berated by the left

It's the latest in yet another one of their weird campaigns.

But we are not to be ignorant of the wiles fo the devil. forewarned is forearmed. Any focus on the machinations of the world and its systems should be through the filter of Scripture.
Steroids are one of those 'wonder drugs' although I guess most people know about them from the way athletes have misused them to "increase power"!LOL-
I didn't quote a Scripture containing the word steroid, so no I can't help you there.
I do believe: knowledge has increased in these last days, and Day by Day knowledge is increased Quicker.
ON steroids is a fairly common expression for a quick result to increase power....
In the early 1990's my wife's asthma rose to a chronic severe condition, where I was having to get up in the middle of the night to rush her to the Emergency Room to save her life. During one year I took her to the ER more than 100 times. 2 or 3 times a week was not uncommon. As I was still working full-time it was exhausting me to where I was often getting sick as well. I had a good job and for a while they were understanding, but eventually they were threatening me because I was missing so much of the time.
[Eventually our primary care doctor chose to come to our house whenever she had an asthma attack because he recognized it was safer for him to come to us than for us to go to the hospital... especially during their busy times. Of course, he asked us to be quiet about it so that other patients would not press him for the same kind of treatment. I remember one Christmas Day, she had a severe attack and we called him. His wife did not want him to leave home, so he asked if we could come to his house for a treatment rather than going to the ER. We did.]
The doctor put my wife on a daily dose of steroids which eventually along with other treatment managed to stabilize her asthma and reduce that attacks usually not more than one every month or two. She was on steroids daily for more than 20 years.
The steroids worked for my wife's asthma but they permanently and severely compromised her body's immune system.
She was finally weaned off the steroids less than 10 years ago, but for the rest of her life she must receive weekly injections [Immunoglobulin = "liquid gold"] to artificially and temporarily improve her immune system.
When the asthma became severe in the 1990s this marked the beginning of a 10 year period where we were Not serving God. I do not believe this was a coincidence! God brought us back in to Him in 2002 but the damage to her immune system remains to this day.
God brought us through that and now this lockdown situation seems mild to us for at least we don't have to be spending several hours a week in a hospital. God has blessed us, but we won't forget about steroids. We cannot.
