What I read is from an anti-Catholic site, therefore, it MUST be true!") "OHHH! I once saw someone in a Catholic church praying to a STATUE! They're guilty of IDOL WORSHIP!"

If I stand on a street corner, and BOW MY HEAD while looking at a streetlight, am I guilty of worshipping the streetlight? WITHOUT anyone knowing what I'm praying about?

Mary wasn't just "some woman." She was the MOTHER of our SAVIOUR. Without HER, there would BE NO CHRIST.

World-wide, we bow our heads for different reasons. The Japanese bow when first meeting someone. We can bow our heads in SHAME or HUMILITY...or during a "moment of silence." ALL 'bowing' isn't necessarily WORSHIP.

I wish our non-Catholic brethren would GET THIS. This same STUPID argument has been going on for HUNDREDS of years.
