It sure is. When I grew up in the 1950s and 60s, we never even heard of divorce much. We heard of one person getting divorced and we were totally shocked.
Never would have dreamed of people changing their sex, etc!!!!

However, this is not likely true in totality. The State is not allowed to tell anyone anything about the child except guardians and parents....meanwhile the parent who loses custody of the child can and will tell the press anything they wish. To put pressure on the State to give back the custody.
My ex-wife was and still is a Social worker. High profile cases come along all the time. The truth is NEVER broadcast in these cases. And the child is likely relishing their current surroundings. Food, clean environment, clothing, safety, and etc.
The gender dysphoria at this age is likely a result of trauma and/or grooming and not something independent.
Where there are wackos who are eager to perform surgery on a minor....it's not a good idea. It was tried in the UK and met with disaster. 80-95% of those who got transition surgery regretted it.
That's startling truth that we often don't hear.
