To become ALIVE "IN" Christ.
To receive the HOLY SPIRIT.
To forever be Spiritually ALIVE.

Their DEATH was Spiritual.
Their REBIRTH of their spirit was Spiritual.

Nothing can become Spiritually Alive, until it has become naturally DEAD.

How does one reconcile the above verses to OSAS? I DO believe that if one has true saving grace, they will NOT walk away, or falter. So, if we are saved, how can one be blotted out of this magnificent book of Life? Can we become unsaved...I hate this stupid fence I find myself on allot lately :

How many disciples were there? 70 right? So their names were written in heaven right? Do you know Judas was among them. And also many others turned away from Jesus. Now read John 6:66-71

Do you realize that Judas's name was also written in heaven even though he was a devil from the beginning? He had a God given ministry and was counted as one of the twelve. Having your name written in heaven does not necessary mean you are chosen. It does imply that you were partakers of His Spirit in some way or the other, like the children in the wilderness that all died in the desert. Their names were blotted out because they never went all the way. Read Hebrews 6 to get a better picture of this. They just were not predesignated to life but Moses, Joshua and Caleb was.

There is three steps to salvation and all of them is a work by the Holy Spirit. Justification, sanctification and baptism of the Holy Spirit. Most Christians falls short and opt out before Pentecost. I mean real Pentecost not the denomination but experience. Like in the upper room. Judas showed his true colors before he could get there.

As usual, there is more at play than the average person realize. My manager has a saying that he told us a million times. I believe it is an old Chinese proverb or something. At first it did not mean much to me but the more I thought about it, the more I realize there lies a great truth in it.

To whom much is given more is required. So then if we have received grace and a new heart...we should seek God in order to walk in a way that is pleasing to Him. We should seek that intimacy with Him. If we become smug and take salvation for granted without the fear of the Lord in a continuing struggle for more of God...then we risk being displeasing to God and rejected from the roll of the saints.

We will be compared to saints in other generations. If we don't measure up...then we are not worthy of being with them.

Knowing that God judges without partiality...we ought to help each other to our maximum potential in seeking and advancing in spiritual life. Our whole lives should be geared about seeking more of His kingdom life. if not, then what are we doing more than they who are rejected from the kingdom due to a lack of interest?

Each generation has the same calling...that is to walk as Jesus walked. We must overcome sin, the world and the devil by entering in and abiding in Christ.

God is looking for a perfect, holy, and eternal fruit that only the life in Christ can produce. We should not be satisfied with a human improvement. We are looking for a maturity IN holiness. When we no longer desire anything but Christ and count all things as worthless without Him...we can get on with the race of faith...which is to win Christ and the full stature of a saint who is called, chosen and faithful to His will.

Revelation 3:5 has a double negative in the Greek word "ou mh" from which "not" was translated from which means it would never happen.

"i.e. ou - ou 3756 and mh - me 3361; a double negative strengthening the denial; not at all:--any more, at all, by any (no) means, neither, never, no (at all), in no case (wise), nor ever, not (at all, in any wise). Compare mh ouk - me ouk 3378."

Jesus is saying in Revelation 3:5 that this could never happen. Scripture backs this reading in John 6:39-40

John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

What can be taken out of the Book of Life is the believer's part as in his first inheritance to live in the city of God for being found in iniquity. They will be resurrected at the end of the great tribulation but not live in the city, but elsewhere in the world serving as priests and kings in raising up the coming generation in the millennium reign of Christ.

That is why Jesus is warning His disciples to be ready before the Bridegroom comes, because they can be left behind for being in iniquity or even just loving this life more than Him to not leave with the Bridegroom.
